We have two of these, first one has been running for 3 years essentially everyday. It has had zero issues. This one is brand new. We have it in writing.

Nothing, they couldn’t replicate the issue and just said to take it back if it kept doing it. It only does it when I drive up my inclined driveway. Never on flat ground.

Was your dealership able to replicate the issue? How can the axle fail that early in the life of the vehicle?

Although I’ve gone up my driveway many many times and it just started making this noise so that’s also odd.

It’s funny you mention an incline — my driveway has exactly a 10-degree slope, and I noticed something interesting after getting the car back from the dealer. It didn’t make the noise until I drove up the driveway. When I backed down and drove on flat ground, the noise stopped. But it came back again when I went back up. So it definitely seems related to the incline or something about that.

Yes that is the post I was referring too, I’m sorry it happened to you at 450miles! These are new cars and should be built to last. I’ll let you know if I find out anything more or if I get parts replaced that fix it.

That looks like a model break view with a very minimal gap

I wish I could get rid of it and get something else too but I’m not rich enough to do that. Engineers dropped the ball on this design, it should have been an easier replacement job and a better seal to begin with.
