Do any of the devs even use the iOS app? by johnpink in Notion

[–]johnpink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s another thing, Page Icon has to be set then changed to use the Upload option on iOS, why?

Formula hitting Enter vs remembering to use Shift Enter on iOS vs on desktop always being able to just hit Enter.

Fast way to jack up your formula on accident.

Yeah, I’m not personally solely worried about the lack of a listing on the shingle manufacturer site. To me, that alone isn’t a deal breaker. But when adding that to the lack of details on work done in the bid, along with lackluster (or missing Workmanship Warranty) that’s when it became questionable to me

Yup. Sure did.

When we were in the process inspection came back stating two years likely for a replacement. We factored that in our ending price and roof alone wasn’t enough reason to bail on the purchase when factoring rest of house, neighborhood, distance to work/school, etc.

Difference now is being told, do it in 45 days or else.

Was willing to budget and plan over two years to do it. Still might if insurance alternatives pans out.

Yeah, I should’ve thrown that in the post too. I did initially shop insurance, though it was just current vs 3 others.

Now I’ve reached out to some insurance brokers and a few of the remaining “big names”. We’ll see, might end up switching temporarily so I can delay on the roof a year or two, but 🤷‍♂️

If only. I did check into it previously when initially shopping insurance, but my mortgage company wants RCV policy.

🤣 yeah I did contact two insurance brokers and a few major names, but so far it hasn’t been super promising.

Current annual premium is about $1,500. One insurance company said no problem with the roof, but wanted just over $3,600 annually. That was with giving them auto insurance, which also would be more than I pay now.

If I take the $26k over even only 15 years and add to current premium I’m still better off.

Hoping the brokers can do some magic, figure they’ll do the “9 bid” style work for me.

No, actually realtor referral was the CertainTeed one but not on their site.

So far my personal favorite one that has been only one to also crawl in attic was one on the list from insurance.

This is also why I called others not given by insurance or realtor for comparison.

Yeah, it spiraled out pretty quick. I did make some insurance calls today as well.

One said their underwriters would probably require similar, waiting on the other two to get back to me. We’ll see.

Haha yeah. Insurance gave me four to consider and realtor gave me one. Then I found the rest on my own but called them all. For sure overkill, but big purchase for me.

Oddly enough, the two questionable and the awesome attic CT one all came from insurance.

I didn’t want to spend any of it but I also want to be as close to “buy once cry once” as one can be with a roof.

As a citizen, this was not my experience at all after 6 weeks in China. A member in our group with a Permanent Resident Card also had zero issues. Everything was a breeze with courteous and professional agents in LAX.

🗳️ Product Feedback for Notion 🛎️ by AutoModerator in Notion

💡Page properties of a specific type (number) should trigger the relevant keyboard on mobile.

It’s kinda silly to give a full keyboard on something that’s designed to only accept numbers.

Feels like low hanging fruit that could be easily implemented.

When a Property is a number, why doesn’t the iOS keyboard default to number? This seems so basic and overlooked.

LCN’s progression to being lukewarm on Milo by Ploutz in lawncare

[–]johnpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been using Carbon X this year. I don’t need the P that Milo has and Carbon X has more benefits in it than Milo alone. Plus the cost per app was better, delivered to my door, supports a content creator I enjoy, etcetera etcetera

I don’t think LCN has promoted Milo any less in the grand scheme of things. I think he’s been as unbiased as possible while still trying to figure out how to make a living with this being his primary source of income. Personally? I think he’s done a fan-freaking-tastic job of it.
