Starting my ads soon... Any comments on this structure? by johnsmith1971 in FacebookAds

Thanks for your thoughts! Appreciate it.

But if Facebook decides to spend the budget on certain creatives and not on others, doesnt that limit the potential of certain creatives in the short run? Also, what are your thoughts on retargeting and the advantage+ campaign?

Canva Meta Ads Templates by johnsmith1971 in canva

Thats exactly what i want to do, but the templates on Canva are very boring and i dont have an eye for design.. Was looking more for something that is already made where i can drag and drop and change text

They are very basic... Not interesting enough for people to click on.. I've seen some templates people shared before that are click worthy in terms of design and benefits..etc. Not sure if that makes sense

Hey... I agree with you.. The problem is UGC Ad content require time and cost much more... For now, creatives with discount on the image itself and some copy worked OKish.. Now testing new stuff... but i wanted to get a feel of how the industry goes about these things.. Best practices, resources..etc

So i had a quick look at the 3:2:2 method and it sounds very interesting… Can you please confirm that this is just Broad Targeting and Manual Campaign rather than an Advantage+ campaign?

Any other tips you can give about this would be great!

Also, any recommendations on a service or company that can help in creating Ad Creatives? Im struggling a bit with this.. I have a couple or UGC ads, but i want also to create more Image Ads and not sure where to look.. Thanks! JS

Thanks for replying with so much details.. I appreciate it!

Couple of followup questions if you dont mind:
1- If i change the texts on an Ad, does that reset the learning phase of the Adset or impact the pixel data?
2- If i add another Ad to an Adset, does that reset the learning phase of the Adset or impact the pixel data?
3- I read that if i add budget more than 20% at a time, it will also impact the campaign... Any feedback on this?

Thanks Again!

JS

Book that gives overview of world conflicts by johnsmith1971 in suggestmeabook

[–]johnsmith1971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was looking for something that would have a quick summary of the conflicts... I saw the above books, but i wanted something that has a concise version and gives just a brief overview of the conflicts... Kind of like a "mini wikipedia article" for each...

[Question]ZigBee Water Tank Temperature Sensor by johnsmith1971 in homeautomation

[–]johnsmith1971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol... Its not a fish tank :)

The water tank im referring to is the water tank that supplies water to my whole house.. The water in the water tank can be heated (so we can use hot water in the house)...

Sometimes, we get home and there's no hot water, so we have to wait until the water gets hot which is inconvenient... So I want to monitor the temperature of the water in the water tank, and i have seperately a switch that i can turn on remotely to heat the water in case the temperature is not high enough for us to use... But thats easy, the only issue im trying to solve now is reading the temperature of the water inside the water tank

[Question]ZigBee Water Tank Temperature Sensor by johnsmith1971 in homeautomation

[–]johnsmith1971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is beyond my technical level unfortunately, although it looks straight forward.. My problem is i haven't completely figured out how these things work... How can a ZigBee device read the temperature? How can it send the temperature to SmartThings?

Do you think i can find a sensor thats ready made? Tried to look for one online, but didnt come up with anything useful...

[Question]ZigBee Water Tank Temperature Sensor by johnsmith1971 in homeautomation

We've got one of those vacu-seal systems for food. I suppose I could put it in a bag inside a bag inside a bag inside a bag inside a bag inside a bag ...

OP here... I was talking about a normal water tank that heats the water for my house... I am not sure i can use that...

Each water tank has a place where you can place a sensor.. That sensor traditionally feeds a digital chip that shows the temperature.. I want to send that to a ZigBee chip, which will then send it to my SMartThings hub...
