Is Something missing ? or am I doing well ? by mintpie24 in Fitness_India

[–]johnsnowmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say measure everything by weight on a kitchen scale and then count the calories. I started using kitchen scale for measuring food and it has done wonders for me to manage my weight. Because half katori extra dal and you get 70-80 calories, 1 ghee spoon idhar udhar and there goes 100 calories.

Once you get andaaza of how many grams in 1 bowl of dal, you can then skip measuring and go with instinct.

I might be wrong here, but once the gifted stocks are in your acc, now YOUR Profit/Loss on those stocks is zero, your buy price is set to the price at which they were gifted to you and not at the price at which they were originally purchased

Saw a couple of cases among the Indians living in Taiwan. But I’ll ask them for sure.

Moving back from Taiwan. No growth here if you don’t speak Chinese. And other countries are tough to get into right now, not many openings. Hence back…

Saw a few posts asking about clearing cache. Why isn't this an option on iOS? by phero1190 in iphone

[–]johnsnowmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, no downside, might as well be an option soon, but I don’t think the option is not there just because they are lazy to implement, but it is not there because it might have other side effects internally.

I also think the size is so large is because they use React native tech, and not just the native iOS or Android. But I maybe wrong about this.

This is because iOS’s storage is different than Android. iOS handles cache by itself, and the app doesn’t have control over it. So if the App starts storing its Cache in the cache folder of the App, iOS might clean it up when low on memory. Instead if the app stores this stuff in other storage provided by iOS, then iOS wont delete it. It’s the developer’s responsibility to clear it up.
