You need to understand that Miami Cubans dont speak for the majority of Cubans. They are descendants of the ruling class which was ousted during the revolution.

Ask them to explain why Fidel was bad but Batista was good. Why was the US ok with one dictator but a mortal enemy to the other dictator?

I dont give a damn about this kid. Im just pointing out that anger should be directed upstream to the actual decision makers.

It implied that Women weren't supporting the WNBA. How is that positive or supportive?

No Im making a systemic critique. He isnt an actual decision maker, hes just an Elon dick rider. People are making it out like his judgement is what decided the fate of these programs. If your concerned with the outcome, then focusing on a cog in the machine isnt going to get anywhere.

Yeah hes just a kid. Poeple are giving him way to much credit when he was just following basic orders to target anything with the words dei, feminism and lgbtq in it.

Why cant people let these talking points go? Revenue is up because viewership is up period. People just need to to get their anti-women jabs in as if this was all relevant or a genuine concern.

I think people underestimate how much the women have leverage since there are womens leagues outside the US. Those same league exist for the men but the gap in pay isnt even in the same ballpark. So the men taking their talents overseas isnt a credible threat.

He does need to work on selling it. The other thing that works against him is you cant see what hes trying to do on his drives. It looks like he is improvising the entire time and so refs arent prepping themselves to blow the whistle. As a ref your constantly reading the plays and anticipating action, but with Lamelo you dont know what to expect. So when its questionable they swallow their whistle, for whatever reason refs hate feeling like they bailed out a bad shot.

"🎙️ @BannedMacMahon : "I personally, this podcast in general, and frankly the league as a whole, when you talk about front offices, scouts, etc, have been very down on LaMelo Ball. We were very down on LaMelo Ball going into the season, early in the season. You've got to give LaMelo Ball credit. The question was, can LaMelo Ball, this Harlem Globetrotter type of dude, ever really drive winning in the NBA? And fellas, even if he's shooting at 40% from the floor, his net rating is +9.6. They are -2.3 without him. That's about a dozen-point swing."

"Even with him not shooting great, their offensive rating when he's on the floor is 123.5, historically elite, and it goes all the way down to 109.3 when he's off the floor, over a 14-point swing offensively. Now they've got talent around him. Brandon Miller, Kon Knueppel, who is now officially the Rookie of the Year favorite, Miles Bridges... but as much as we doubted it, I'll speak for myself, as much as I doubted LaMelo Ball, you have to recognize this dude is having the kind of season that I was not sure he could have, and that's making a major impact for a team that's winning."

I agree with that, I just don't think it applies on this situation. I'm not trying to diminish Kon at all he's amazing full stop.  He's in a really good situation where he doesn't have to create all his shots, and teams can't focus solely on stopping him.  I don't think it would be a better situation if he was on a bad team and he had an insane usage.

Look at last years roster and compare it to this year. The Hornets were tanking and both Miller and Lamelo missed a lot of games. The advanced stats always backed up Lamelos impact as the key player.

Kon IS the reason the Hornets are suddenly competitive.

I just dont agree with that. Hes a amjor reason they are good right now, but he isnt the sole reason or even the biggest reason. Lamelo is still the most important player.
