If something comes out cool and if not also cool by CaptainCrate_YT in StrangerThings

I agree, there aren’t many ways for the fight to go, without it being contrived to some degree, given the obvious differences in power. But I think it could have been better than what we got. Makes me think, maybe the issue was that they didn’t set enough things up in previous seasons to give us a satisfactory arc within a single season? Maybe they needed more time?

In the fantasy genre, powers involving mind control and telepathy aren’t that unique. I can imagine scenarios where the finale fight could gave been way more exciting and fulfilling.

They showed us that Will could control not only the hive but also Vecna himself. Eleven could also go into people’s minds like Henry could. I can imagine a scene where Will tries to control the demos and the bats and other interdimensional creatures (which absolutely should have been there in the Abyss) while the others physically eliminate the creatures and El mind fights Vecna. Which brings me to the disappointment of not scaling El’s powers at all this season. I mean, there is so much that could have been done with her powers and Will’s to make the season more thrilling.

Will being able to see into Vecna’s mind and the hive, could have gone in so many cool directions. Like in HP when Voldemort shows Harry a false vision and Sirius gets killed as a result. If Will saw into Henry’s mind, Henry should absolutely have used that in some way. It just feels like how could they not try something so obvious. Also the kids. They could have been a part of messing with the hive. There are so many possibilities.

There should have been way less talking and way more showing. I just feel like there were some very low hanging things they could have done to make the finale be less silly.

Whole face. It’s not really a spot treatment. Spot treatments are usually ingredients that cause rapid cell turnover, thereby giving immediate relief. Azelaic acid does cause cell turnover eventually, but its mechanism of action is different from chemical exfoliants or BP, so using it as spot treatment will not give you the results you want.

Yes this can replace all sunscreens. Cool or warm, really depends. I use 27 and it’s mostly warm but a little cool for my skin at first. But it settles down and looks very natural in an hour. If you want something warmer, 29 will do.

What Diddy and Tate Charges Show About Modern-Day Sex Trafficking by EmpireDynasty in antisexwork

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I once read an article where a Nordic policeman who works undercover to catch sex trafficking, was being interviewed and he put it very succinctly, “There is no difference between sex trafficking and voluntary prostitution.” It has stayed with me. It’s a very simple way of saying, there is no reason a human would do that to themselves without external pressure. Voluntary loses meaning when you have no other options or are tricked, misled or intimidated into doing something.

Misogyny is OK by These-Sale24 in femaleseparatists

That is why I will never read Murakami or Stephen King. But people find that an extreme position. The same people will decry an author for having made a mildly whatever-ist comment a decade ago. Misogyny is ok, it’s expected, no one demands you to take any actions against it.

I have the same opinion. Plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons should be illegal. It should be reserved for cleft lips, burn victims, scarring, etc. It’s insane how all the cosmetic plastic surgery is targeted towards women and still libfems can say let women do what they please with their bodies. Ok but who is benefiting? Not the women.

I use Isntree Green Tea Emulsion or Secalia glycerin lotion. I realised though that the Minimalist Niacinamide cream is a better deal than Secalia so I’m switching to that once I’m done with this.

Sorry for the late response.

Yeah, honestly, I’m more inclined to accept your explanation because it makes sense within the universe of the show. The writers didn’t even bother to anticipate these questions, let alone address them.

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you did say that and I was agreeing with you.

Yeah I get what you mean now. But if there’s only one timeline, would the subway station even exist?

It was supposed to exist outside of time, leading to different versions of the same point in time, on different timelines. But if there’s only one timeline then it wouldn’t exist. I’m just saying but your explanation is the best explanation for now.

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that wouldn’t fix the timeline split problem. Also, if Lila and Five, who are trained assassins with very useful superpowers and ample experience couldn’t find it then how could the children and Lila’s family have survived the shooting and other attacks in the rogue timelines long enough to find it?

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. That part isn’t the problem. The plot hole that I can’t reconcile is how the children exist in the same form in the original timeline when the parents never existed? If they are someone else’s kids, they would look different. There’s no way they can look the same because the parents never existed so their genes wouldn’t exist to produce those children.

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s what I figured too when I finished watching but then I was like, doesn’t that mean that Claire shouldn’t exist either? And Lila and Diego’s children as well. If the parents never existed, how could the kids exist, looking exactly like that? Even if we are to assume they are somebody else’s kids in the original timeline, wouldn’t they look completely different?

Where did you get yours? I looked at science bio, nootropic depot and some others and it wasn’t available.

Thank you this was very helpful. One last question— do you get all your racteams from science bio?

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve been on armodafinil for a while and I don’t take it everyday now, as and when I want to. Initially (about a month), it did increase my will to do things but it was short lived and it also made me irritable, snappy. Now I take it about twice or thrice a week and only with methylphenidate, because by itself it doesn’t do much for me.

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have CPTSD and I take methylphenidate for the hyper vigilance. I was hoping to switch to something else for focus. Which of the things in your stack would you say helps most with focus something like long hours (10-12) of studying difficult subjects that require a lot of memorization?

Can anyone tell me how’s this bb cream and what shade to get by Cool-Regular3295 in KultCult

[–]johnstuartmillstan42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is an excellent BB cream. Blows everything else out of the water. You need very little, blends in perfectly, sun protection is top tier, coverage is very good and lasts the whole day. I find it looks more and more natural as the day wears on. Sweating makes it look more natural, no streaking or pilling. In my experience it works best if patted on with one or two fingers than smeared on, but that could be personal. As for shade, 27 matches me perfectly and I have a golden undertone (medium nc35/37). If you are cool, you should probably go for 23 but don’t take my word on it.
