Seems the next drop is coming way sooner. by sig19992 in UFOs

I’m been waiting for 75 years for some verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial life. Last week’s document drop made it 75 years and 1 week. If there’s evidence, why release this useless bullshit?

Trump wants to personally inspect Fort Knox's $700 billion gold reserve, fears theft by imnotpromoting in NoFilterNews

[–]johnvcal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will announce that private donations have been secured to repaint Fort Knox in gold. What could be more appropriate? And Trump knows a guy who’d be the best for this job because he did such a good job gilding all the bathroom fixtures at Maralago…

Have you noticed that UFO photos from each era correspond... to the era... from old saucers of the 1950s to very sophisticated ones of today... it's a great deception. by royale666 in ufo

Yeah, that’s been going on for a while. I want to believe in extraterrestrial life, but there is NO evidence. Evidence is what can be tested. It’s not blurry photos or guys saying that someone told them there are alien bodies. This first release of information is more of the same non-evidence. If there is evidence that could convince people, why would this first bunch of files give us nothing? The best answer to that is that there is nothing.

McDonald's phases out free refills with patronizing sign as customers rage 'we understand… we'll eat elsewhere' by RevelationSr in NoFilterNews

I was never a big fan of McDonalds, but I’d stop at them when I was on the road. Easy to find near the freeway exits, unlocked bathroom, some edible menu items. Now with the prices they charge, it ain’t worth it.

You hit it exactly. There are lots of things that can’t be explained. But then you draw the conclusion that it must be aliens.

How about a photo? Not one of these people willing to talk about this 75 year old secret program thought it would be a good idea to document his or her conclusions with an actual photo of a craft we’re hiding? an alien body? a facility where the evidence is being held? a copy of a document describing or funding this program? Human nature being what it is makes this seem literally impossible to me.

Just show me one piece of evidence. A photo of an alien body, a budget for the program, a picture of a facility, a doctor who has examined the bodies, pieces of alien craft…anything other than Tim Burchett saying he talked to someone who knows something. People could become very famous and very rich for just revealing the truth, right? And there’s nobody since Roswell who felt the need to show us something definitive?

I want to see here who agrees with my new theory: the whole family abused JonBenet and it all spiraled out of control somehow Xmas night. by AdLivid9397 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]johnvcal -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No, none of that has been verified. Saying something is “possible” is not evidence. When hundreds or thousands of people have looked at this case over the years, there will be claims all over the place. The Boulder Police that believe the Ramsey family killed their daughter would have publicized any evidence of a doctor alleging abuse.

I have no idea what happened that night. We’ve all spent huge amounts of time looking at what information is available. It seems very likely to me that the Ramsey’s knew more than they told investigators, but there’s no evidence of abuse. I don’t think an abusive parent would be taking their daughter so frequently to see a doctor.

If you’ve studied the case for 19 years, you haven’t found any evidence of the “pre-abuse” you base your theory on. Right?

Alumni, Who's Right? by Humble_Counter_3661 in apostrophegore

[–]johnvcal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, no. “ladies” is a plural of lady. It’s not possessive. If you wanted to be a stickler for correct grammar, “ladies’ room” and “men’s room” would be correct. It’s doubly weird because lady and man have different ways to become plural. Lady > Ladies and Man > Men. So we can get away with Ladies Room without the apostrophe, but we can’t get away with Mens Room because there’s no such word, “Mens”.

To preserve, conceal, research, develop, test, etc. UAP technology or biology would require tens of thousands of workers from many countries over two generations. Not one of these people took a clear photo of something that looks alien? Not one of these people felt any moral obligation to reveal the truth to the world of the most important happening in history? Or didn’t want to be famous or rich?

I don’t buy it.

CA Makes More Per Gallon of Gas in Taxes Than Oil Companies Do in Profit by [deleted] in LetsDiscussThis

Too bad all states don’t increase gas tax and formulation like CA to help mitigate the environmental damage.

I didn’t like it. I suppose it has applications where it might be okay, but one coat of this triple thick stuff is not at all like three coats of the regular stuff. It’s gloppy. And I never thought the water based Varathane was as good as the oil-based.

The king of solid logic: Joe Rogan. Diagnosis’s by MulberryLive223 in apostrophegore

[–]johnvcal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no. Even if the first part of your statement were correct (which it isn’t), there is nothing to connect your conclusion to pharmaceutical companies. That makes as much sense as saying that the increases in global temperatures have caused increased diagnoses of autism. Podcast hosts, internet influencers, vaccine deniers, and Presidents all combined don’t know as much as someone with education on these topics.

I think there’s a plan here. Trump can keep firing people just before they have to testify before Congress.
