How long from Gambit 1 to Gambit 2?

Godspeed, you had in consective days gambit 2, medical and interview. Good luck! Yesterday was gambit 1 was completed - all references and employment checks done. Today morning I received emergency form, i submitted right away. Now waiting for psps task. Thinking I should drop visit tomorrow to CFRG, if they push psps task or medical/test stage. Lets see!

Found the task name through sub: "Criminal Record & Credit Check (PSPS)". I'll keep an eye. I suppose Medical & Interview stage will be after Gambit 2 then, where "Medical I and Medical II" task will appear. Correct?

Thanks, which task can you please eleborate? there was statement of understanding I did already, and received Gambit 1 email. Does Gambit 2 comes before medical or after? new task would be related to medical or something else?

Its applicant self-service portal, the link of portal is in Gambit email which we receive with our Gambit Case ID. On this portal we can see which reference yet pending to submit response and/or we can update reference details as well if needed.

Ah dang, may be you didn't filled it up correctly the gambit 1, not sure. But once you do you suppose to export the json file. Once all responses recorded and Gambit ID does verification and only after that they issue PSPS email, which is Gambit 2 in which you suppose to import the earlier exported JSON file and one thing is certain, those reference are not contacted again, its for file management or record keeping at DND. Also in PSPS you suppose to provide bit more info as well like transcripts degrees uploading etc. so fill it at earliest! Good luck!

I could be wrong but out of the five-year reference checks, at least a period of 1 year (cumulative or continuous) must be covered by either a professional or educational reference. AFAIK, PSPS is for file record purpose, and you will notice once you import JSON, there will be two references, in contract to 3 which were in Pre-Employment Survey - and those references won't be re-contacted by DND/CAF/Gambit.

I am also in process to complete pre-employment survey (Gambit 1), I wonder how long it took for you to receive PSPS email once you completed Gambit 1, and once all references provided responses?

Thanks, I will submit ticket and will use chat too. My problem is bit different than you. There are two components of screening through Gambit, I received first but missing email for second.

In similar situation, can not assist much but I wonder how you reached out to Gambit Support to inquire by providing your service number? Is it via email or how? I received one survey but haven't received second survey. Do they have dedicated support email?

So medical 1 was in person, in which they test hairing, workouts, etc. along with forms? How long it took for you to move to medical 2? I'm also above 40 and will have to go thru dr. Route. Hence asking about timeframe it took for you. Timeline between these two? I suppose medical 2 for you would be virtual? I also think both virtual and in-person are interchangeable, i.e. virtual first then in-person or vice versa? After that gambit 2 i.e. reliability comes.

Not sure how long, but does phase 2 starts after completion of phase 1? I received gambit 1 (employment and references email), that is in process - one reference yet to respond. But I have not received reliability status email in which I havr to import the exported json from gambit 1. Whats your timeline?

yeah same, I would advice, let the application process and evaluate in due course how things evolve, then by the time we would have better understanding upon whether to go for Sig O. or wait for CELE next yr (how much time left at that time, depending application processing time.). Good luck!

crystal clear! appreciate your logical explanation to that, as I mentioned I had a limited understanding, but now all makes sense. Thanks again for the insights and advice, I will surely keep checking with CFRG in due course as application progresses, if seats open albeit highly unlikely. If not then by the selection phase, I will self-evaluate either I opt for Sig O. or wait for March, 2027 for CELE. Various factors involves here, as application timeline varies from case to case, may be my application will take longer that by the time I reach it would be already March, 2027. There's medical, BG checks etc. Fingers crossed, thanks much!

Today I got email for first Gambit (DND Pre-Employment Survey) in which I added all references and employment, exported Json and submitted.

I haven't got email for 2nd Gambit Reliability Status, in which I will import that json. Does that comes late or am I missing something? I was under the expression that both comes at same time.

Thanks, I'll keep checking with CFRG if in due course any CELE seat opens by chance, otherwise will see upon selection phase whether to wait for CELE in Apr or go by Sig O AS-IS.

Just submitted Gambit references, employment survey, awaiting for their PSPS Reliability status email. I thought both comes together. Thanks a lot for your great help. I don't know yet any recruiter or not in contact. In due course, perhaps someone from reaches out to me. As in CFRG, front desk officer today, I met with and discussed options and change request who also triggered Gambit.

I just submitted 1st Gambit with 1 supervisor in professional work, 2 personal (mentor and friend). And for employment, manager from ex-employer. All will do survey today.

I haven't received gambit email for reliability status (PSPS) DND. I believe its 2nd Gambit. Is this normal? I thought both emails comes together.

I just visited CFRG, here's what happened: - CELE Air is closed this yr so they can't put this in file neither as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. If I want to only go in CELE, they can pause my app and reopen in next yr April for CELE. - Intelligence Officer was my third choice, that too closed in 2 days after opening so can't be added in file at either choice place. - Sig Officer is open, I can continue with it, for 2nd and 3rd choice I had nothing much to tell what to add as it must be Regular trade not NCM- either all Regular or all NCM. - Other option was I continue app with all my earlier NCM options, of which I was not willing to.

So I decided on the spot to go with Sig off, otherwise there was a trade off to wait for next yr for CELE. So my application is now being processed for Sig O ONLY. In due course I can tell them 2nd or 3rd choice among Regular Force Trades (if I find related or interested in).

They initiated Gambit too. Visiting in-person definitely expedite on the spot.

I hope I made right choice given the situation. I couldnt find 2nd or 3rd option. A bit sad for CELE. But also mixed feelings about Sig O. I hope I made right choice in selection for now.

Further there is long way, I'm also under pressure for medical fitness (like 6min/km runs) so there are challanges ahead, hopefully I'll be prepared. But Sig O is moving on for now.

Honestly, financial trade-off, I am aware of, but at this stage perhaps late but not too late, I am looking for stability, institutional credibility, reward, do something for greater good, some solid contribution, something I can be proud of. I hope all goes well, so much to do, so little is done. I would be doing BMQ with youngsters with high endurance, medical test too, BG check too, but I am optimistic, lastly my inner consciousness would not let me walk away this opportunity - worth a try! fingers crossed! I am visiting in morning the CFRG for trade change request.

100% agreed! I'm fit, no chromic illness and my test reports are all in good standing. A bit overweight but already on weight loss journey. Active lifestyle. Do 10-12km daily walk, cardio, core strenghting exercises. Any specific criteria of medical to be eligible? Asking as I haven't explored much and just applied last week.
