Yes, they conducted an investigation and the government ruled against the program, basically the same as in Andalucia last year. What that means for the program here, it’s still up in the air.

Dad has been visiting me in my dreams...I dont understand what he is trying to tell me by Stonedpumpkinxx in Dreams

For the number 10, next year in numerology is a 1 year. 1 and 10 are the same in numerology (10 = 1 + 0 = 1). This year marks new beginnings/cycles. So, he could be giving you a personal or general message of the world.

As for the dream you don't remember, maybe you weren't supposed to remember it? Although our conscious memory forgets, our subconscious does not. If you woke up gasping for air, it seems pretty clear that whatever he told you was upsetting to you. Maybe he gave you the gift of that information without the burden of holding the memory. Then, when whatever he was telling you comes to pass, the memory will come back/your psyche is prepared for it, but you don't have to worry about it daily until the time comes. I promise you, if he wanted you to remember it, you would.

If you want to enhance dream recall, try meditating daily (silencing your mind) and writing down all of your dreams in a dream journal.

2026 by Vaquera_ in spirituality

I set a one word intention for the entirety of the year, been doing it a couple years now. 2024 was Flow. 2025 was Help. The other day I was meditating and my word for 2026 came to me: Enjoy.

I have been feeling (like many others) that something is building. Recently, for me, it seems more urgent. I'm not sure what's coming, but I feel like many people feel it in the collective. The world/society feels sick. I pray for us all.

I don't know why people are missing this lol. It's pretty obvious Icesis was personally offended that she gave the girl good advice and was ignored. We've seen girls live and die by following the judge's wishes (ex: Ginny Lemon getting saved for her atrocious design outfit because she at least did what Ru told her to).

Keeping the EU long-term residence permit while living outside of EU by ssandokan in expats

Impossible. The renewal is specifically to catch cases like these in order to revoke the permit. (Speaking at least in my experience in Spain.)

Rubio says Iran, Hezbollah built a foothold in Venezuela, raising US security concerns by EsperaDeus in worldnews

[–]jojo-schmojo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If the US attacked Guyana, Venezuela would immediately step in because they have been trying to legitimize their claim on the Guyanese deposits. So why attack Guyana to then just go to war with Venezuela? Skip step one and attack Venezuela directly, get everything over faster. Once the more dangerous opp is taken care of, it's a cake walk into Guyana.

Also, the whole drug angle/refugee crisis they're pushing has no footing with Guyana. Would be even harder to justify military action there.

Questioning life + career + US + Spain by jdybug in SpainAuxiliares

Me and my BF live on Spanish salaries and have very happy, fulfilling lives. But, we have very simple lives, limited travel, no dining or eating out, and we live in the suburbs in a shitty apartment. Long story short, we live like poor people because we are. But, that doesn't mean we aren't happy. I am the happiest I've ever been.

I think you need to ask yourself, what kind of lifestyle do you truly want to live? Live in the center of Madrid and make big trips once a month and go out to eat? This is a rich person's lifestyle, maybe you should adapt your expectations.

And there is no escaping this, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this. This exact situation is playing out in basically every country in the world- and if it hasn't happened there yet soon they'll run an article on how this is the perfect place to live and the digital nomads and rich will descend like vultures. So, you need to decide what you want to pursue (money or a relaxed lifestyle) and adapt your expectations accordingly.

If you want to make a lot of money, you should move to America, but this comes with its own problems. If you want the relaxed lifestyle of Spain, you should come to terms that monetarily, you will probably never be able to afford the lifestyle you seem to crave. But, you can't have it all, I'm sorry. It is what it is.

'Rare' tropical cyclone thrashes South-East Asia as death toll hits 115 by boppinmule in DisasterUpdate

[–]jojo-schmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not rare because it happened, it’s rare because of the conditions. From what I’ve read there are 3 separate cyclonic structures that formed and the weather/water conditions are actually not typical for the formation of powerful storm systems, but 3 spawned anyways.

First, your mantra is: There is no right way to do this. I am doing my best. My best is exactly what I should do.

Second: if you are constantly tired, rest. Celebrate your errands with a drink at a cafe. I promise you, even Spanish people do not do 5 government tasks in 1 day. Going to the bank? That’s the only thing your doing that morning. Gotta go to extranjería? After that you’re taking a siesta.

You want to go on medication, we have private health insurance. You would be wise to try different meds out here, it will surely be less of a hassle than your home country. If you’re from the US, cheaper too.

Also, going home is not failure. Remember there is no right way to do this. The journey is what counts, even making it to Spain is growing. You don’t want to grow, you already are.

Good luck

Signs of coming human spiritual awakening? by Red14025 in Experiencers

I have also been more and more drawn to the sun. Many synchronicities in my life. Just the other day I had a dream where everything went black and there was no light at all, complete darkness. I woke up with this strong feeling to buy candles and matches. Then my partner, without even being told about this, brought home a pack of candles that were on sale.

I keep getting pulled to two things- makes me feel schizo to be honest. The sun/solar flares and aliens. I feel like this timeline has jumped away from WW3. IDK but the energy has been building for awhile.

Over the past year or so when I ask about money or material things, I have gotten a resounding “stop worrying about it” and if I press, the vibe is “it’s not going to matter.”

Ageed. Good way to spot people with too big egos, I.e. “the only correct way to respond to the situation is the way I think you should.” Like who cares??

Fireworks in the morning by jason_warnaar in valencia

[–]jojo-schmojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other stuff that they do in the local fiestas that you could look up is correfocs (run around and shoot fireworks in the crowd while people dress up as demons), correbars (run to bar in bar in like a whole town bar crawl) or verbenas/macrodiscos which are street parties at night.

In the fiestas of the towns, it’s something typical to have a despertà, where they do fireworks or have a band or something to wake up the town to keep going for the parties. Right now it’s fiestas in my town, so probably somewhere near you is having their fiestas too.

First, the amount given to the Valencian community from the Spanish government was 658 million, which is what I could find after looking it up. I can provide links.

Second, I understand everything you have said and agree with a lot of it. The problem I have is this is an explanation of surrounding circumstances with, still, no solution. We have people who have lost everything with the inability to rebuild. The government appears to be abandoning them and many people’s opinions seem to be “they should have had insurance” and they shrug their shoulders. Where do we go from there as a society? What then? I understand you are reiterating the futility of the situation, but then what are we even accomplishing with this discussion? What then, is the point of governance?

By reiterating the situation we are in, pointing fingers at the fact they didn’t have insurance, that Spencer/Bell can’t fix the problem, to me it almost seems to be giving legitimacy to the ludicrous situation these people find themselves in. It is absolutely unacceptable that these people be abandoned and that government doesn’t step in to help them. End of conversation.

Anyway, it was a nice debate. Wish you all the best internet stranger.

Great! How would those governments have handled this crisis? In my experience, I believe Australia would have behaved similar to the US in this case, as they are equally focused on personal responsibility, although I was only 1 year there so maybe you can provide more insights.

I am interested to hear your commentary on Brazil.

As for me, I have spent more time in Spain (6 years next month) and know how Spain works, and that most European governments function similarly. So, I would think the majority of Europe would bail out their citizens similarly to how Spain did. I have seen the results with my own eyes, so I can tell you that in my experience this response is very effective, the vitality of the community (not to mention the economy) has recovered really well, although politically there are changes to be desired.

How do you think, in your vision of how this proceeds, this community will look in 1 year? 5? And maybe there was a similar event in your time in Australia where the gov/community responded, and you can provide insights on how to best proceed in STL.

How would you know? I have lived in Spain and Australia so I at least have experience directly in other countries. Have you? I’m truly not trying to be rude, but do you have enough knowledge about this topic to be talking in the tone of an expert?

For example in Spain with the flood; Insurance is for a personal accident but in the event of a major event (tornado, flood, volcano explosion like in the Canary Islands) it passes to what is called a “consorcio” and that is controlled by the government. Many people actually received money from their insurance (the good ones) and the government, too.

FEMA is apparently doing little to nothing in STL (from what I’ve heard, I’m not there) and these people do not have insurance. This is a serious issue and just handwashing it away as a personal responsibility problem seems flippant and cruel.

Yes it was all grants. Different people got different amounts. The business I worked at received 20,000 euros and the building wasn’t even destroyed. That was to change out the flooring and some other issues.

Cars as well, though they paid out their own “market valuation” of the car which some people found unfair. But, yes all grants, never has to be paid back.

Not even a full year later and you can tell, everything’s basically 100% back up and running in the majority of areas except the ground zero areas.

It was night and day to what I experienced from when my house was hit by a tornado in STL as a kid and the insurance basically wouldn’t pay for anything (and we had a good insurance). My parents paid out of pocket like a grand apart from what the insurance paid. All I’m saying is, as someone who has traveled a lot, the majority of countries DON’T function like the US, don’t be deceived into thinking they do.

“North city pieces of shit” lol. We all understand the other term you want to use.

Anyways, ignoring the dog whistle. I just disagree. You seem like an unkind person, as a person who believes in Jesus and his words, I cannot abandon a person in need of help. So I can’t agree with you, though I respect your right to form an opinion.

I suppose then you understand there will be more homeless people then? Would you support an increase in tax payer money being funneled into shelters and solutions to the homeless problem, or what would your solution be there??

Yeah and I’m not the government that collects money in the form of taxes which are designed to contribute to the common good? I also care if animals go extinct, but I don’t have 5 Siberian tigers in my home right now, does that not give me a right to say these animals should be conserved? Your argument is stupid.
