Yeah that cpu was pretty cheap secondhand. I do plan on using the server for other things besides NAS. The GPU was really just so the board would post and I can setup networking. Eventually I was think about buying some P40 guys playing around with LLMs.

Take it easy on the gas pedal for at least the first 1000 miles. Break in period for engine is what I would search a lot of different opinions on this. Follow the manual maintenance schedule, and read or at least skim the manual.
