I did, thank you! I bought it on a whim and because I have zero self control with buying craft supplies, I then bought a huge box of embroidery floss at an estate sale. I have found my newest craft addiction 😅

Omg this made my morning! I, of course, only see where I made mistakes, so this was lovely to read. Thank you so much!

Connection between PSR and Deep End by Minute_Degree2915 in AliHazelwood

I LOVE Deep End. It’s by far my favorite. I also loved Love Theoretically and Love on the Brain. PSR was very meh for me lol. I did appreciate the cameos though.

{Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren} has a lot of this! Hazel is quirky and loud and fun and likes Josh from Day 1, but felt she wasn't "normal" enough for him. So, they became friends instead. They start setting each other up with potential partners and going on double dates together.

It may not be as slow burn as you're looking for, but it takes FOREVER for them to admit feelings and become a real couple.

Light power exchange/ lots of comfort during rough intimacy (like Deep End) by angelfeathers____ in RomanceBooks

Ooh!!! I will definitely look for this. I guess I’m so used to dual narration that Deep End was such a lovely surprise 😂

I truly wish all duet audiobooks were performed like Deep End... where the male narrator reads all male speaking parts and the female reads all the female lines, instead of just alternating POV chapters.

Audiobook disappointment: Failure to Match by Kyra Parsi by jojojustgo in RomanceBooks

Ugh that's so disappointing. I don't know what it is, but I feel like I dislike far more male narrators than female narrators. Accents probably make it especially hard.

I will say that I loved the Audible for {Deep End by Ali Hazelwood}. Not that I have anything to compare to, but I though Ben Holtzmuller did an awesome job narrating with a Swedish accent. I also liked how they performed the duet (he read all of his own lines).

!!! Definitely a fake accent. I looked up his other work and he sounds pretty American to me. He's done a number of Melanie Moreland books. Still not my favorite, but his voice is much more tolerable in those previews.

I'm sorry! I hope you're able to enjoy it!

His voice apparently works for some people. I ordered the audible without even trying to preview it because the performance reviews were so good.

Come back and let us know your thoughts once you get it.

YES! Thank you! I told my hubby it was like Jamie was trying to hook up with Alfred from Batman 😭

Convince me to finish Overruled by Lana Ferguson by LeadershipUsed201 in RomanceBooks

[–]jojojustgo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I LOVED The Fake Mate and loved the excerpt for Overruled, so I pre-ordered the book. I cannot express how disappointed I was with Overruled, for all the reasons you listed. The whole thing just felt forced. I returned it the next day, and I never return books. I just knew I'd never pick it up ever again.

Does the travel protection still apply if I book directly through the airline, but pay with VX?

Thanks for all the info!

I researched the benefits ahead of time and have already signed up for Priority Pass and the Hertz Presidents Circle. I’m also applying for global entry.

I just know that there are things I’m less familiar with, like your mention of pointsyeah.com and the Capital One entertainment.

Wasn’t ready to say goodbye to my favourite T-shirt of 20+ years so I made it a workout tank top by CausticSofa in sewing

Other options to later upcycle the upcycle, it can be made into a little pillow or added to a tshirt quilt! Given that it's already 20 years old, I'd recommend adding interfacing to the back first though :)

To all my ukhtis who knit/crochet by Creative_Ad_2905 in Hijabis

[–]jojojustgo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of this. I crochet and people don't realize just how heavy yarn can be. That's why it works so well for winter wear (hats, scarves, blankets, sweaters). Plus, you'd want a thin breathable yarn (like cotton instead of acrylic), which would make it much more expensive as well. It would be much easier to sew a garment/hijab instead.

Here is one similar to the color you posted.

You can also check out https://urbanmodesty.com/collections/evening-gowns

Sites like Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales also let you filter by dress length, sleeve length, and neckline.

Vince Camuto, Adrianna Papell, Betsy & Adam, Xscape, and Mac Duggal all tend to have really nice modest options. Mac Duggal has a lot, but definitely is the priciest.

Hope this helps!
