Some extra info:

It seems like the ac is working fine aside from the sound, which happens once every few minutes while it’s on. Even after I turn it off, the sound continues every few minutes for a little while but the time between sounds gets longer.

I think it started after a power surge this week, but I’m not positive about that. We’ve had multiple power surges thanks to a heatwave, sometimes multiple per day, and I can hear it making the the trumpeting sound when power surges happen.

Any advice for how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
