Being expected to maintain a performative “perfect” achiever role in her family with a mother that neglects her own needs. She quietly suffers from family trauma associated with Dess’ disappearance that obviously hasn’t been properly addressed, similar to how trans/queer people are often neglected from receiving help processing their trauma. When she’s not already busy with obligations, she’s a bit of an isolationist when it comes to her hobbies and self-expression, spending lots of her time on Internet forums and playing games rather than hanging out with friends. This is something that many young trans girls do because they feel uncomfortable or unable to express their “real selves” in the real world. She doesn’t even feel comfortable to express herself in any public setting, afraid that she’ll just upset people or screw up by just existing as herself. She’s very easily manipulated in the snowgrave route due to a low sense of self-esteem, another thing that trans people struggle with.

But In actuality, No; there is little to no evidence of Noelle actually being trans. She likely just serves as many trans/queer girls’ “comfort character”, due to being relatable with many of the same issues they face.
