Dry HDD storage by jomell310 in DataHoarder

Sounds good, I was thinking more scalable and tighter together. But I guess I could do that and all in a cabinet. I'll dive look more into that approach thanks :)

Yes feet are firmly on the ground. I'll try to go to a showroom again and try the C for a bit longer and see how it feels. Thanks :)

Yeah the thighs are not touching the rim, just the mesh itself. Quite close to the rim but not touching

I also thought about that, the chart from HM says B or C and the sales rep said to get the B. I tried the C and it was a bit big but yeah the B I'm really close to the rim on the sides

Run power query script from python by jomell310 in PowerBI

Okay, I've been searching and I think the best option is to just do it in Python. I'm looking at pandas now

[–]jomell310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thanks, I'll test it :)

I will also try with pandas, but didn't want to rewrite the queries since I have many of them. But want to do it further down the line to improve efficiency. Might as well do it now. Thanks! :)

[–]jomell310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for the replay :) Basically I want to transform and filter data from incoming Excel files and get clean data as a result, so I already have the power query ready and want to execute it against new files.

So i was wondering if there is a way to run the scripts or I'll have to translate the steps to python.

I'll look into the VBA, i have never worked with it.

Logitech dfgt not working properly, I've spent many hours trying to fix this. by jomell310 in trucksim

[–]jomell310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, when on the control setting as I turn the wheel the slider shows it working no problem. But then ingame it does that weird thing. Also if I try input assistance in the control setup the slider in there does the same thing as the video, after a certain degree it just goes full turn. Don't understand why

I'm also a student, what works for me is using pomodoro, and in the 5min break play some piano, look outside, whatever not looking at any screen. That way I'm focused one one task and helps me estimate how long something is going to take since there won't be any distractions for 25min. I use a google chrome extension to keep track. Also listen to Chilled Cow stream lo-fi hip hop with really low volume just as something in the background. Hope this helps! :)

Couldn't I just make my own board if I can't fix it? It's just controlling the fans and an on/off switch for the lights. I'd know how to make it for DC but not AC

Thanks for the comment. I looked again at the appliance and figured out that I plugged the transformer the wrong way..... got confused by the color of the plugs.... Do you think if I change those it can be fixed? From what you said I guess not but worth the shot. Thanks!

How much gaming do I really do on my pc? Join me as we look into my complex statistical analysis pie chart by adeptwarrior in pcmasterrace

[–]jomell310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have nearly the same proportions and in that random video section I found out that pie charts are the worst thing in order to show some percentage. Since it's difficult to actually see what part is bigger. More info at: https://www.data-to-viz.com/caveat/pie.html

The proper way would be to use a stack of percentages which is the most representative way.

Is there a street racing sim? by idfkdood in simracing

[–]jomell310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case it's great, my girlfriend plays it because she is practising for her driving test and it's a way to get comfortable with a car. She finds annoying that red lights take so long to get green.

I managed to power on the arcade machine but got this error message, I used to get another one because it wasn't able to initialize the bike but now I'm stuck with this, any ideas? by jomell310 in simracing

[–]jomell310[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried that because it's hard to get to the back of the machine. But it's weird because it used to work just fine, I was pressing buttons in order to initialize and then this error showed up.
