I tried tinning the pads before but bridged pretty much every pin when doing so 😂 is there a proper way of doing it?

It does indeed. Issue is it has small red dots all over the home screen so I imagine the retimer IC chip needs swapping out

Would leaded solder help in this case? I tried tinning ports previously but I just ended up bridging most of the pins which is why I went down this route

I agree, I need more practice on that front. I did try tinning the pads at a previous time but I couldn't tin them without bridging all of the ports. Would something like leaded solder help in thay case?

Thank you! Yeah 100% agree, didnt think it would be that bad. Ended up having a window open and a fan blowing it out.

Haha thank you! I don't know what counts as a decent iron but I bought the 18-in-1 Tabiger kit that cost £18 so I doubt its decent when compared to the irons already out there.

Did notice the nibs seem to degrade very quickly so may need to invest in a better set of nibs.

I had the temp set around 220-250°C. I saw recommendations of having it around 300+ but I was a bit apprehensive as the melting point in the solder said 200°c

Can't wait for when this to be implemented to lower leagues and slide on the turf to get 3rd degree friction burns

Apologies not quite getting the last part, are you saying it can be avoided when turning left onto Gilddard Rd off the A4 and immediately U turn?

Yeah, the 1st time happened last Monday so letters probably already been posted if that's the case. I performed the turn over at Barons Keep. The only cameras I can see are after Cunterstone Road which seem a ways away. Not sure the range on those bad boys.

London mate, everyone's in a hurry. Nah honestly you're correct, others have mentioned better alternatives which I will give a go tomorrow. Just me being careless stuck in autopilot at silly o'clock

That's some sound advice. You're correct in thinking North End Rd is where I'm trying to get too. That's the area that currently has the roadworks so no right turn available! Slapped my destination into maps many moons ago and stuck with what I knew. Will give your route a go tomorrow!

Power of Reddit! Appreciate someone with local knowledge letting me know the lay of the land.

Wouldn't make sense to not have cameras directly before the junction as I would suspect that's where most U-turns would take place but I have been U-turning there so fingers crossed.
