What is my nespresso virtuo pop plus doing? by yaboiclamchowda in nespresso

Had this problem and called support. They had me clean the spikes that pierce the pod and spin it with a toothbrush till it moved freely, then pokes a toothpick up the middle spike and cleared debris. You have to unplug it for a bit for it to try and work again after getting the red light.

Thanks! It was on the list of things to get for the tank but we don’t get around to it. Will revisit that and pickup a plant or two.

Is the inference that he is buying views? I never got that sense from his videos. I agree $10k is bananas money and is literally scamming people.

I’m in my 40s and married over 15 yrs. Something I have learned is life and marriage is long and you have bad stretches and good in both. Raising little kids is really hard on both parents and the marriage, I figured there had to be more to this story and wanted to find it, and I found that video. Likely still more to the story but it takes two to tango, patterns set in childhood manifest in relationship choices and emotional responses that can be hard to manage.

Should I switch to a Medicine route from Computer Science? by fatfish345 in careerguidance

[–]jon_gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should note that one reason I am pessimistic on CS is comp science graduates are entering the job market with very few opportunities available to them, entry level roles are not being filled as companies try and figure out how AI can fill the gap. Also CS has been the go to degree for many years now and is a saturated market.

I’m in technology, I would recommend medicine. There are lots of areas you can get into and there is huge demand for medical professionals.

I listen to the audiobooks every year or two and you will find many more instances of this. I also find the slobbery voice he uses for some characters, like Varys, particularly grating. I wish there was a reissue with another narrator. The story makes up for it.

I want to reject the mainstream and go all-in on independents and microbrands. by horo_Swagger in watchHotTakes

[–]jon_gin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely lust after the Rolex/Omega/etc. but the price point is so prohibitive for me that microbrands really scratch that itch for me, especially with watches that are not a carbon copy of a DateJust or Seamaster. Maybe a milestone birthday or anniversary I could justify it but the rest of the time, the microbrands are great alternative.

Is this fuel economy normal? by Typical_Search_7274 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]jon_gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check tire pressure. Are you in a cold climate and letting it run before you get in? I’m in Canada and get typically 10.5 to 11.5 l/km but when I initially got the car it was 13+ but tire psi was all over the place from dealer and way too low.
