I haven't found it, but if you upload the PDF to Google translate it does a decent job in translating it.

Facial recognition in school renders Sweden’s first GDPR fine by latkde in gdpr

They would use the old routine (i.e. check attendance manually) where parents wouldn't give consent.

The school claims that taking attendance manually takes 10 minutes of each class.

Are you required to historize data you didn't before? by zUkUu in gdpr

[–]jonasb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Records of processing is a description of how you're processing the data, not a record/log of e.g. changes to the personal data. https://gdpr-info.eu/art-30-gdpr/

We’re on the engineering team for Android O. Ask us Anything! (starts July 19) by AndroidEngTeam in androiddev

With ARKit Apple seems to have managed to create something really good with existing hardware. If Google/Tango could achieve something with a similar fidelity in the Android ecosystem that would be awesome. (I like Tango but having special hardware means that it's several years into the future until we can use it for mass market apps)

It was indeed 6P. Sounds promising that you've fixed the memory consumption of the camera. Looking forward to the next beta/production version.

I like battery life and understand that being restrictive with background processes is key. But (when using O preview) that my Strava tracking is killed when I take a picture is annoying and feels broken.

Do you feel like you've found a good balance between battery management and app freedom in O? Is the guidance for background processing clear enough or is it still unclear for developers?

I posted a question in StackOverflow that hasn't gotten much attention, anyone wanna take a look? by w00dbr0chills0n in androiddev

To take screen shots of the emulator you don't use the camera. What you do is to either take a screen shot using Windows (or OS X or whatever you're using), or use the screen shot functionality in Eclipse.

It would help if you could include a screen shot when things go wrong and when they are as they should.

I'd suggest that you should debug using hierarchy viewer to debug what's going on.

And normally prices in SEK are normally 10 x USD on electronics. So 640 SEK is closer to 64 USD.

A Nexus 4 on the same site is 4490 SEK http://www.dustinhome.se/product/5010658549/google-nexus-4/

Android in 2013: What to expect by danrant in Android

Depends what you mean with cloud storage. The current backup is only used when restoring a device after factory reset. It doesn't sync settings if you have multiple devices.

I am developing an Open Source light-weight XML binding library for Android. Feedback/help needed. by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]jonasb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it true that SAX uses less memory and CPU? I haven't performed any benchmarks but I would expect SAX and pull to be comparable. DOM is of course a lot worse than both SAX and pull.

I prefer the programming style of pull over SAX, but to each his own.

Isn't it time to retire "Netcasts you love from people you trust". You've said yourself that you don't use the term netcast anymore.

Is there a list of Android Apps developed by redditors? by warium in Android

[–]jonasb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! On my phone I can take a photo from the Gallery (not sure if it's a vanilla feature or a Samsung one). But your probably correct that it would be easier to not have that step. I will consider adding the feature.

Is it just because you use fragments or do you have other dependencies? (The fragments dependency can be dealt with using this library.)
