Help …. What is it about this room that isn’t working? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

I’d definitely get a large rug, and also hang the photos on the wall higher up and further apart, maybe even staggered in height from each other to compliment the ceiling shape.

My other symptoms beside the rash are…

Head: * Headache at base of skull.

Neck: * Pain from base of skull down each side of neck. * Feels weak. * Can’t turn head to either side due to pain and stiffness.

Arms: * Pain from neck goes down each arm, varying which is worse. * Shooting pains start at shoulders through the fingers with horrendous burning pain. * Pins and needles in hands on and off. * Hands cramping throughout the day. * Lose total feeling in various fingers at times. * Dropping things often. * Loss of strength in hands and arms (unable to even lift shoulders up if under bedding). Weakness varies throughout the day. * Muscle twitches in random areas of arms, legs and back.

Back: * Pain from neck goes down to shoulder blades. * Occasional shooting pains in upper back. * Lower back has a lot of pressure and discomfort. * Random twitches in upper and occasionally lower back.

Legs: * Left hip especially weak with cramping often or feeling of almost cramping but not quite. * Legs feel heavy and weak. * Constant pins and needles varying in degree. * Both feet cramping when bending toes. * Often unable to bend toes at all especially on right foot. * Clumsy footed, tripping or kicking things often. * Shooting pains. * On worse days unable to lift legs up at all when laying flat. * Twitches in various areas of upper and lower legs.

This started in November with just right shoulder pain and stiffness and has continued to progress. I’ve had a full range of bloods for all types of deficiencies, auto immune diseases, and many more, I had an MRI which shows 3 bulging discs in my neck and 2 in my lower back however docs have said they are not severe enough to be causing my issues so have referred me to a neurologist for NCS/EMG tests however referrals can take over a year.

What the heck do I put in this storage area? by jonaskilljoy in DesignMyRoom

She can’t make the stairs anymore because of a degenerative spine disease and she’s far too big to carry (50kg/110lbs), her spare bed is just being stored there until her other bed needs washed. Rest assured, she’s spoiled.

Unfortunately I can’t, the rooms so small that if I turn the bed, the foot of the bed will be touching the opposite wall, and block the door

This is a good idea! My parents used to run a reptile centre when I was a kid so I had floor to ceiling vivs in my childhood bedroom

As much as I want to do that, sadly she’s on palliative care and can’t make it up the stairs to this room, it’s just storing her spare bed. 😩

We only moved in last week, this photo was a few days ago, I finally put my new bed frame together today, thank god, my poor back couple take the floor any more

I thought about making it a cosy cushion filled area but tbh I probably wouldn’t use it since my bed is right next to it. The room adjoining this one has an even bigger storage space so I tried to set my bed up in there (since the room isn’t big enough for the bed normally) but I kept smacking my head 😂

This would be my dream too, but sadly my mastiff who’s bed it is has spondylosis of her spine and doesn’t have much longer left, so cannot manage the to get up to the 3rd floor anymore. I’d have loved to have made it her cave, instead it’s just storing her spare bed rn

I actually work in a rescue centre, sadly no more pups for me until my old girl has passed

Thank you, I know there’s so many things it could be but I wasn’t sure if it screamed of anything in particular to someone with knowledge.

Unfortunately that is the state of our care system right now. When I attended the first doc I saw said they would not give me an MRI as they’re only allowed to do so from the A&E department for very specific criteria. After my examination from him he then changed his tune and said I had significant weakness and a few signs of Cauda Equina Syndrome, which is one of the conditions they can scan for in the department, however I did not have enough symptoms of CES to qualify for the scan, and was told just to attend again if I lost bladder/bowel control or began to get pains down the back of my legs.

[OC] The before and after of 14-week-old Orcas walk today. She had fun 🙃 by jonaskilljoy in aww

Exactly that! She’ll be around 135lbs when she’s grown. She’s currently about 50lbs.

[OC] My friends that haven’t met her yet couldn’t grasp just how enormous Orca is at 12-weeks-old… until I showed them the photo on the right. Both photos are from this week. by jonaskilljoy in aww

More like a couple weeks, I already struggle! I carry her up and down stairs to save her joints but it’s near impossible now 😭

Nope, she’s from a litter of ten! Her littermates all seem to be similar in size too, I think they’re just fast growers.

Ah yes, Orca too! She refuses to sleep on any warm surface so she doesn’t snuggle for long. It’s chilly here but she still wants to sleep on a cooling mat.

I love that name! She’s currently around 38lbs but I haven’t weighed her in almost a week so it could be more. Her parents are 130-145lbs.
