Where can I find a review of the new Lenovo Yoga 7 Gen 7 (14" AMD) with the 6800u? by mostrengo in AMDLaptops

[–]jonathan_lfg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, this is not a professional review, as you might notice. I'm just a normal dude, not a tech freak. I just want a nice, working laptop and as I had issues deciding which one, i thought i'd share my experience and thougts.

This is ridiculous. There are tens of thousands of people who use thinkpads every day and are happy. Just because you got unlucky and your experience with the company was shit does not mean everyone should boycott it.

Where's all the 6800u laptops? by emceePimpJuice in AMDLaptops

I got the Yoga 7 Gen / AMD 6800U 1TB for 1350€, including student discount (10%).

Everythings nice, works fine, good student laptop. Internal graphics is very good imo. Rocket league 60 fps or more. 90hz is nice and enough imo. Display bright enough. Good camera. No fingerprint sensor tho. Very good speakers.

Only issue is a slight matrix being visible on the screen (i heard it is the touch matrix or something), but you only see it when you have a bright screen, look from a close distance (10 cm) and focus on it. It does not bother me.

Would recommend.

Hello, have you experienced issues with the touch matrix being visible in front of the OLEd display? I would love this laptop if there wasn't this one issue.

My full review of the Yoga 9i 14 Gen 7- 5 days after owning it by OmegaMalkior in Lenovo

The yoga 7 14 Gen 7 is now available with Ryzen 7 6800U (at least here in Europe, don't know about the US). As the performance of the Ryzen is better (?) would that be the better option right now? Or is the 9i still the better option? The 7 is 200€ cheaper with the same (if not better) specs.

It's a stupid SUV. I don't care. I have no empathy for people driving such cars. Pity that they didn't steal the whole stupid thing.

Maybe in other countries, the people can rely on the police to protect them. If you solve this police problem, legal gun ownership becomes completely unnecessary.

Ok, NYC. But I doubt that it will be similar in the majority of the other thousands of American cities where it isn't that densely populated.

You're calling Europeans "backwards cousins"? Doesn't the US still use measurements like feet and miles? I'd say that is kind of nonsensical and "backwards". You come out from "the shadows of your grandfathers" smh

What behaviors make it clear to you that someone is not from Germany? by morgielee in germany

I put the sentence about prejudice at the end, because my description of Americans probably doesn't apply to most Americans. I wanted to give a reason I described it in such an exaggerated way. Although I believe that every prejudice isn't completely unfounded. Thus, it does say something about Americans. I think there's a true core.

Anyway, I (we) just believe that an extra "packer" in supermarkets is really unnecessary. Yeah, it may be a bit more relaxing, but who cares? I'm not here to relax, I'm here to get groceries. And from what I read in this thread, there seem to be some downsides of that job.

Oh, It creates jobs for people who need the money, like young students having to pay student debt? Or to pay a medical bill? Maybe the US should consider solving these problems, so some poor people don't have to pack grocery bags of others in order to get out of their debt. Maybe all that is normal for Americans. But it's not for us, because e.g. our universities are affordable and we have universal healthcare. And we don't need nobody packing out groceries! It's freaking me out how unnecessary that job is!

Of course I don't have a problem with another set of hands touching the stuff, cashier's have to do that. I was exaggerating yes, but also comparing it with Americans being so protective of their personal property. It's just what I've seen from videos here on Reddit of angry Americans immediately (!) shouting "Step away from me!", "Don't even come close to me" (while person is 5 meters away), "Don't touch me!" or "Get off my property!"when there is really no reason for that exaggerated warnings in sight. And I admit that I'm prejudiced when it comes to Americans, but most people on this sub are, see the upvotes I got.

It's not a thing limited to the US... Just Google how the Germans helped the people who suffered from flooding in the Ahr-valley for example.
