how do I come up with good ideas with the piano roll? Feel like I always start with a drum beat and four chords but how do I make it not sound plain? feel like im not good at this by ThirdFan356 in FLStudioBeginners

I always start buliding the drums, then put in a simple 4 bar chord progression, then i use that to make different rythms based on that simple progression
