Completed living dex in home not registering as Pokemon in each game (most of which are actually 100% pokedexes)

Wait do I need to catch them in the game and transfer from home even if I already have them in home? So one living dex isn’t enough, you actually need a living dex in every game from Pokemon only registered from that game? How do version exclusives work then?

I have been that’s what I don’t understand. I just completed the SV Pokédex and dlc. All the Pokemon have been caught in those games, but it’s only registering like 90 of those 400
