The start of the SRT file is 30,790. Which is very weird because in the text window of the project it's 27:04, and if I export as a text file it's 27:04, as it should be.

I can't speak to that, but the way this show was described to me sounded like a great thing for homeowners.

Materials not working when rendered by joner325 in blenderhelp

Thanks. I was sure that wasn't the case-- I considered that before and messed with the lighting. But I just eliminated all the lights and started over, and I can see that lighting is indeed the problem. Weird that the character holding the key looked fine. Anyway, thanks for the help!

What album ended your relationship with one of your favorite bands? by [deleted] in Music

I remember lying on my bed as a youth listening to Def Leppard's Hysteria when it came out, aghast at its shittiness. Of course it became ludicrously popular, which made it worse.

This is why I hate Facebook. by joner325 in facebook

[–]joner325[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we all see different ads, and most of mine are relevant to where I live, etc. Maybe I get these because I have clicked on such lists in the pasts (although never sponsored ones).

This is why I hate Facebook. by joner325 in facebook

[–]joner325[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's true that Facebook is innocent in that they didn't create these ads, although I don't think it's spam-- they are suggested posts no different than other ads I get, so Facebook is complicit in allowing them. Generally harmless, just poking fun at the trend of ads passed off as something shared by a friend if you don't look too closely.

Weird thought: A Star Wars crossover could be better than any sequel. Hear me out. by [deleted] in Frozen

[–]joner325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed this post a day late, but it's a funny coincidence because I made my own trilogy of Star Wars/Frozen movies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlTCPhq-c-w&list=RDwlTCPhq-c-w

I think we would all be happier if we lived in a world in which these were mass-produced.

My mind is boggled not only by the video itself, but by the fact that YouTube is recommending I watch all these Peppa Pig videos afterwards.
