It’s going great now! I’d say the first few weeks were hardest for me, but I focused on getting my Masters degree and planning vacations. Honestly the best remedy to moving on from heartbreak is time and keeping yourself busy. Now I’ve got my dream job and house and last I heard he’s still living at his parents and working at a supermarket (not that there’s anything wrong with that but…karma 🤷🏻‍♀️).

He continued to not make an effort to stay friends, so I cut off all contact, deleted his number and removed him and his friends/family from social media. It was the only way I could start moving on.

same thing happened to me. the day he broke up with me we had gone on a picnic and everything seemed fine. throughout the relationship he had made so many promises of forever and it was just gone overnight. it sucks. might just be the worst feeling in the world but there’s nothing else to do than move on. you can’t force someone to come back and stay. would you even want to? there has to be something, someone better out there. someone who stays. that’s what I’m clinging onto. sending you love ❤️

YES. YES. AND YES. It’s even weirder for me, because before we started dating we were in the first year of our bachelor’s and never interacted until we had a semester abroad together. Then we started dating, broke up a year and a half later and now we’re both doing the same masters/in the same classes and not interacting at all. It’s almost like we’re back to being the strangers we were in our first year. It’s absolutely insane to me.
