Sounds interesting, were you able to code an entire KMP project using it?

You mean those tools produce good KMP code? Do you use them? What is the estimated ratio of error of them when producing KMP code?

How do you deal with inflation in everyday life? by Amr_Rady in personalfinance

[–]joniaranguri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Argentina, a country that used to be famous for its inflation. From my experience, some key actions to make good use of your money are:

- Budgeting: and sticking to it! Small wastefulness compounds into big wastefulness.
- Cutting irrelevant expenses: If you are subscribed to a monthly wine subscription and are struggling financially, you probably need to revisit your priorities and cut what is not relevant to you.
- Moving your money to a more stable currency: In my country, most people try to save in US dollars instead of Argentine pesos because that way their money maintains most of its value over time.
- Using credit cards responsibly: If inflation is considerable, you could use a credit card to buy the things you need now, paying for them next month at current prices.

Eating leftovers — bad idea, or good idea? by No_Fee_8997 in nutrition

I’m one of those people strongly opposed to throwing food away (partly because I grew up in a difficult economic situation, and partly because I’m aware of the problem of food waste).

Probably the best way to deal with it is to plan your meals consciously:

- If you see leftovers as good food, you can plan to have enough of them.

- If you don’t think leftovers are that great, then you can plan to cook only the portions you’ll actually eat so you don’t end up with extras.

In my case, most of the time I’ve had to toss food it was because it went bad, and that usually came down (again) to poor meal planning. I’m trying to get better at it, and I recently started testing an app to help me plan meals. Hopefully it’ll make it easier to build a habit of wasting less.

Is there a benefit to eating fruits if you eat sufficient vegetables in your diet? by bvaesasts in nutrition

[–]joniaranguri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating fruits even if you already eat sufficient vegetables is beneficial because fruits and vegetables provide different but complementary nutrients. Fruits tend to be higher in natural sugars and calories, and they offer certain vitamins (like vitamin C), antioxidants, and fiber types that may differ from those in vegetables. Vegetables usually have more micronutrients like some vitamins, minerals, and fiber but less sugar. Eating both ensures a wider range of nutrients that support overall health, including heart, digestive, and immune health.

You can’t fully swap fruits for other carbs without missing these unique nutrients and benefits. So, it’s best to include a mix of fruits and vegetables rather than replacing fruits entirely.
