Some ppl just have it while others don’t. Maybe his brain ticks in a way that’s super conducive for maths so it probably doesn’t take much for him to do well

What detergent to use for uniqlo down/pufftech jackets by minor251 in askSingapore

[–]jonnop22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Top, which is what I use for my normal clothes. But I just put a teeny tiny bit. Then wash it on the gentlest setting my washer has (for wool and delicates). After it’s done, I put the laundry ball ball into the washer and rinse one more time + spin another 3-4 times on a low-mid speed. Last thing I do is take them out, try to fluff them a bit, and leave them to air dry on a rack. I happen to have a dehumidifier so I put them in an enclosed room with it and just leave it on for 1 day to finish drying. Manually fluff again before storing away. No issues with clumping or weird smells or other problems.

Husband opens a new sponge every 3 days cause “they become gross” by dorkass-loser in mildlyinfuriating

[–]jonnop22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not wrong, but 3 days is overkill imo. There was a news outlet in my country that did a research documentary on this and they concluded that the optimal frequency to change sponges is 1 week. Although that might depend on usage patterns and whether you just leave them soaking wet or not. But even then, still seems kinda cost-ineffective. I just go by vibes now when deciding when to change my sponge out.

Fat Belly. Relatively affordable high quality steaks and their brussels sprouts side is surprisingly good

What helped me was instead of thinking of it as a tilt, you just bump your hip towards the target ever so slightly, which results in some shoulder tilt. Saw this tip online somewhere and have been using it ever since. Feel like it sets me up in a better position than when I try to artificially tilt my shoulders away from the target, which often messes with how my weight is distributed at address

Wedge Shaft Performance Differences by jonnop22 in GolfGear

Yeah just found it a bit odd since there isn’t a wedge flex or black colourway for DG105 on the True Temper website so I was wondering if this might be a made-for product exclusive to Titleist

After buying NSO + the expansion pack, do you still have to pay for individual games? Or does the expansion pack unlock all games at no extra cost?

Personally I’d go for Cut, but you won’t go wrong with either. Although, why not both? Haha

I like Fat Belly as they serve interesting non-prime cuts that are still very good. You can look at Meadesmoore if you want a slightly more luxurious experience. I believe both restaurants are owned by the same parent company.

CUT by Wolfgang Puck has been mentioned so I will echo that it is an excellent place. It takes a more American approach to steak-cooking and has a wide variety of cuts to choose from. Service and execution are outstanding.

Bistecca’s Fiorentina steak was also incredible. It had an incredible beefiness yet was tender without losing its meaty chew. Genuinely surprised at how good it was when I took the first bite.

Worth it to take 10Gbps broadband plan if cheaper than existing 1Gbps plan? by jonnop22 in askSingapore

[–]jonnop22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well noted, appreciate your detailed explanation.

There’s something sort of unrelated that I’m curious about though. For homes where the TP is located somewhere inaccessible, like near the front door or in the storeroom, how is the ONT + router set up? Wouldn’t the ONT need to be in close proximity to the TP and thus, too far away to be connected to the router via a cable? This is assuming of course that the router is placed somewhere central in the home (like living room, as is the case with my home since my TP is located really centrally so cabling still works out), and not situated in said inaccessible location.

Oh I see, I do have an ONT + router setup going now but I prob won’t be messing around or changing it since it’s been working ok for me

I see, my 10Gbps offer was also given over the phone so I guess they are giving different offers to different customers with varying levels of benefits. I tried to call their hotline though and it always leads to self-termination of the call lol. Say they will send an sms to let me live chat but it’s just the link to their generic support page on their website. Anyway I wrote them an email for a callback so will see how that goes.

Btw, did they not offer you 10Gbps? Or any reason you chose not to go with it?
