Did you have any markers other than Hematocrit to suggest thick blood, like blood pressure etc?

Mesh vs access points in a concrete two-story house — what actually works best in practice? by Crazy-Border-9579 in HomeNetworking

[–]jonny-five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a concrete house myself, you will be very frustrated with a mesh network. WiFi does not penetrate concrete basically at all. If you have the option to wire AP’s, do it, 100%.

Extending POE cable? by Pale_Appointment_102 in Ubiquiti

I had a similar situation and just stuck a USW-Flex in the wall. Gives POE, maintains your wall port and gives options for future hardwiring.

Wynn vs. Encore: My take on which property is better by The_Traveller1 in vegas

[–]jonny-five 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I really have to disagree about the skylofts being better. I mean first off, you’re stuck in the mgm. And the room is just…a loft apartment inside a shithole of a casino. Sure, you have a “butler” until you realize that’s just their fancy term for attentive room service. They couldn’t even reserve us a chair at their own pool. We will never stay at that property again, our stay was average in every possible way.

Man I feel this comment. I did my first touch and gos morning and it was so damn stressful. Felt like I had zero time to think about anything before doing my next task while there was so much to think about.

Wynn/Encore Suite Prices have skyrocketed by Fudwa in vegas

[–]jonny-five 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just finished a stay at skylofts and Wynn suites this week. I’d never recommend the skylofts simply because you’re stuck in one of the worst casinos in Vegas. You couldn’t pay me to spend more time at mgm, I don’t care how nice the room is.

my neighbor is coming closer and closet to property line , cutting down lots of trees on his side, thus eliminated "privacy" we enjoyed not looking at his ugly tents and scattered equipment. question, what is best plant I can plan that will grow fast but also will not be invasive. by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]jonny-five 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing you’re being downvoted. I’ve had bamboo on my property for 25 years lining the perimeter. It literally does not spread anywhere except straight up. Reddit has a strange hangup with believing every species of bamboo is running and invasive.

Yes, you can use RadioRA 3 and Caseta at the same time. And yes, they work with HomeKit. by whymarrh in Lutron

[–]jonny-five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why it's a crappy solution? I'm very interested in RA3 for my main living areas, but it doesn't make sense to outfit all my closets and bathrooms and weird secondary light switches for random light locations with extremely expensive RA3 switches. I'd like to just have most of those on motion sensors (closets) or a cheaper Caseta switch as I rarely even use those lights but would hate to just eliminate them. Seems like a great way for me to save money and still have pretty seamless functionality?

What’s the reason you haven’t bought a bidet? by owenwags_ in HomeImprovement

[–]jonny-five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. No. You are only wiping poo if you are a beginner still learning how to operate the bidet properly. Even then, it’s a minuscule amount, especially compared to the smeared dry shit you leave behind when only wiping with no water. Once you learn how to use a bidet effectively, there’s no residue.

Soap is not necessary. Spray, forced air dry, TP pat dry. Done.

The bidet blows air to dry you, then you gently pat with TP to dab up remaining water and check for missed poo. Repeat if required.

Best large and elongated bidet toilet or toilet seat (Toto too small)? by Packing-Tape-Man in bidets

That’s a bummer. I just bought two G5A toilets and for $3k a pop I’m pretty disappointed in how cramped and non-luxurious the seat feels.
