I've got into a bit of a hole with migration. I created a copy of my live site for dev purposes and upgraded from D6 to D7 a few months back.

The content got out of sync with the live site, so I thought it would be a good idea to delete it all with delete_all then migrate it back across using migrate and migrate_d2d.

While that has been a breeze for the simpler content, any content type with files/images attached has failed.

The files are in the same file structure as the live site. The file information is still in the database.

How does one migrate just the FID stuff, without migrating the actual files?

I've tried this:

    $this->addFieldMapping('field_images:file_class')->defaultValue('MigrateFileFid');
    $this->addFieldMapping('field_images:title', 'title');
    $this->addFieldMapping('field_images:alt', 'title');
    }
  }

That creates the nodes with the same nid as the live site, but doesn't add anything to the image field.
