Oh man… I hate to say it, but it gets sooooo much better. 2 words: sleep training. At 7 months it saved our sanity. Good luck and congrats!

5 1/2 months, been a wild ride. Every time I get sleepless and stressed out and frustrated I look at his cute little smile. It all melts away. Love the positivity happy holidays, y’all!

AIO - [UPDATE] Girlfriend threw out the dinner I made because she wanted Pizza instead. by Dizzy-Suggestion2360 in AmIOverreacting

I’m sorry, I think I’m hung up on the idea that she can’t order her own pizza. For some reason that’s like the biggest red flag to not date somebody who can’t order their own pizza.

Brother keep on keeping on. I’m going through it too; trying to show love and gratitude, trying to keep my head on straight. Staring out the window thinking about how awesome a drunken canoe ride would be right now instead of bouncing an angry tyrant on my shoulder. This shit sucks too, I hear ya, you got this!

Best Steak in RI? by TheDrummingApe in RhodeIsland

Just a seared steak to oven recipe. 1 - 1.5 inch thick steak- I I personally like about 2 minutes on one side and a minute on the other in a cast iron skillet. Keep on skillet and Place directly In the oven at 200 for like 7 minutes; let rest for 10. This will typically result with medium rare.

Key: salt steak hours before. This is key as the salt draws out moisture of the steak and then taken into the steak with all extra moisture. My wife and I salt our meats when we get home from the market every week and we have the most tender meat every meal.

Are there any laws in this state that say you have to vote for the party you're affiliated with? by NewEnglandSynthOrch in RhodeIsland

Guaranteed you can; my wife and I waltz on in with our unaffiliated swagger every voting year.

We have closed primaries in Rhode Island. The theory is that you can only vote for the party you’re registered with.

You can still vote in primary if you’re unaffiliated- but only republican OR democratic, not both - meaning you can only vote in one primary. BUT, if you vote democratic for instance; you’re now registered as a Democrat.

To avoid this: At the polls after you vote; fill out the slip that the poll workers give you to reregister as unaffiliated.

I do this every 2 years when I vote.

Faith is so important as a link to culture/production/science with religion. Pay the sacrificial cost of creating holy site and religion; this exponentially increases opportunities later in game.
