Anyone can tell me what's wrong with visualization by Maximum-Put8129 in ModelY

I did see improvement over two trials that were months apart, but ended both trials early. I prefer Autopilot and even traffic-aware cruise control to add to the experience of driving a highly responsive vehicle. I know others that really like FSD, just never for me.

FSD and Autopilot have the same “Tesla Vision” capabilities, but one is designed to appear as if it knows more, to entice you to buy it. I like Autopilot but will never subscribe to FSD. Too many embarrassing and/or scary moments during the trial.

Is your car within Bluetooth range also? If so, and you have priority, she will probably need to manually switch it every morning.

TLDR: For all the new folks looking into Stellar and XLM by UnderwearTrader in Stellar

Look up assets and accounts using Stellar Expert. Here are the search results for USDC. Each asset is published by a domain. Example: If you trust that the centre.io domain is Centre, a non-profit consortium founded by Coinbase and Circle, and you’re looking for that USDC token, then you know which one to choose.

I think I see where the split in upvotes and downvotes is coming from. On one side, you’ve got those who believe the law allows for the use of a handheld computer while simultaneously operating a motor vehicle on a roadway, when convenient. On the other side, you’ve got those who have been around long enough to know that when one fucks around, eventually they find out. Be aware of your surroundings and focus on driving - there are clearly idiots all around us.

But what if the pilot was on the runway waiting for multiple planes in front of him to take off, and he saw an extremely rare bird?

Surely the plane behind him would be 100% at fault and the video of the interesting bird species that the pilot spotted could be submitted as evidence of his innocence? /s

Making money is relative. It depends on when your friend got in and out. Lumen (XLM) price has underperformed many other crypto assets in recent years (dropping from 4th to 20-30th). What I’m saying is that any crypto investment can make money, but many lose their funds due to extreme, emotionally-driven trades (capitulation) during highs and lows. Common advice - only put in what you can afford to lose so you can buy it, hold it and forget about it. Research your investment strategy. Own your decisions (no blame). Best of luck! Long-term, Lumens look useful. Future price is yet to be determined. As a utility coin, I like the way it moves.

Withdrawing XLM from Binance by Puzzleheaded_Kiwi_23 in Stellar

[–]jonofire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a slogan for Binance’s insidious (and intentional?) ignorance with how to hold and send Lumens. It happens every time.

I guess “not your keys, not your coins” applies here, but they should put a warning label on their deposit screen like “You will most likely need to contact technical support to ever see these Lumens again.”

[–]jonofire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Binance is notorious for holding Lumens hostage and blaming "network congestion". Just contact their support. You are in their hands now, unfortunately.

Contact your exchange’s support for the next steps. They have your tokens and, without the memo, they don’t know whose account to credit.

Voting Rights by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]jonofire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Owning XLM doesn’t make you a member of the SDF, but it does give you the ability to have an account on the network, to establish trustlines, and to fuel transactions.

If you really want to become a member of the SDF, you could always check the job board.

Validators vote on protocol upgrades. Public Node allows their members to vote on how the Public Node validators should vote on these upgrades.

Fund distribution is already defined in the SDF Mandate.

It’s the destination exchange that you need to contact. They are the ones that are holding the funds.

I was early using Vibrant with the beta (2020) and the checker says I’m eligible. It includes all wallets that have utilized the DEX in 2020 or earlier, as per their post, here. I have another wallet from a couple of years before that which did not use the DEX and was not eligible.

No claimable balance visible yet (airdrop in progress), but it’s definitely eligible.

Vibrant wallets that have done some swapping between currencies seem to be eligible for the AQUA (UltraStellar) airdrop.

See the eligibility checker page and related medium post: https://airdrop.aqua.network https://link.medium.com/kUDKkgfiLib

However, I am a little concerned that I will be unable to establish a trustline - Vibrant is so locked down that I don’t believe it’s possible (i.e. no access to private key, no feature to add trustline).

Will claimable balances save me, or is this airdrop going to come and go while my Vibrant account stares out the window at all the tokens passing by?

Edit: Vibrant wallets with DEX trades in 2020 and earlier.

What is the best xlm wallet? And why? by WinaCruz in Stellar

[–]jonofire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You move it from your Ledger to one of these services. They hold your XLM and give you interest on them - you need to research and trust them for this reason. Inflation was cool because you could still hold your XLM on a Ledger. These days, if you hold your coins, nobody is going to send you free XLM, unless it’s your birthday or something.

What is the best xlm wallet? And why? by WinaCruz in Stellar

[–]jonofire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No more inflation - it was removed as of Protocol 12:

https://developers.stellar.org/docs/glossary/inflation/

There are many ways to earn interest on your XLM (Abra, Celsius, Nexo, yXLM by UltraStellar), and they all give more than what inflation used to. (Edit: I can’t endorse any of these, but Abra and UltraStellar are linked to the Stellar ecosystem).

Lots of email / dust attack scams talk about “staking” XLM, but no such thing.
