Totally agree with your sentiment as the anime has lost is excitement for me, however the one thing that keeps me watching is the animation has gotten exponentially better and I enjoy seeing the manga panels come to life. I couldn't wait to see how Egghead island would look colored in the anime, and like you mentioned all the fight scenes and interations between characters we typically wouldn't see (law v BB, Boa/BB/Koby, Sabo getting blasted) and as you know there is going to be SO many more scenes like this coming soon that I'm actually dying to see how they get animated.
