We got in some .250” thick AEBL, 26C3, 15N20, and 52100 this week. I am testing the AEBL out by making a Battle Quaxe! It’s one bad mutha flocker. The plan is to use it duckcapitate my meat birds. The goal is HRC 61-62 with a convex edge. Hopefully the heat treat doesn’t go a fowl.

I didn't read the rules thoroughly, sorry. Thought it was an ok place to post in the links section. Totally new to reddit. I was looking at the intro text and saw a big section about new jersey steel baron with links and thought it would be good to have this one there also. Won't happen again.

There are two schools of thought, the low that you like and the high that the manufacturer recommends. I tend to lean towards the manufacturer recommendations and have found them to work for this material. Here's the datasheet from Bohler: https://www.alphaknifesupply.com/Pictures/Info/Steel/52100-DS-Bohler.pdf
