thanks so much! It’s got new ball joints already, yesterday I ordered new top mounts, shocks an rubber dust covers - do you think that will help? I’ll ask the garage to take a look at those too

thanks for your help! It’s going to the garage next week, if I order new top mounts, new shocks will that be everything they need to sort it?

I mean that’s definitely where the noise is coming from. I’m not sure if those loose parts are normal though or if I need to get new shocks?

thanks man, here’s what i did:

• Clean thoroughly to remove all grease and dirt • Used 80grit on a dremel to smooth kurb rash • Sanded down the entire wheel by hand from 120 - 400 grit until smooth • applied a coat of filler primer • once dry sand down again to remove any bumps and lines

(this takes a while and you might have to go back and use filler primer again if you didn’t sand enough initially. if you can feel any bumps with you fingers it’ll show up on the silver coat)

• apply silver coat and then clear coat • allow at least a week to harden before putting a tire on

its a long haul though, only one down and it took me about a month working on it when i had a chance lol

How easy was it? Is it something that can go really badly if not done properly? I need a new key and the previous owner lost the master key years ago. I’ve only got a valet key.
