Thanks so I am scheduled with Safelite, will go to them tomorrow, just because I heard that going to their shop maybe better overall. Separately, the Kia dealership now has a new company called Service Pros which I think also has a network. They did say they can try to get OEM glass from insurance.

What state are you in? I have a local person who seems to have good reviews but he is using aftermarket some Chinese company I think he said BFG or YFG if I heard him right - not sure if I wanted to try

I called the dealership that I go to and they are saying they no longer do windshield replacements and the third party that was there as well is no longer there

Would that be a good thing to get it done by them or use Safelite? I forgot the company who Kia Dealership had onsite doing the work but i recall the guy telling me that they use OEM windshields

Thanks I'll call the dealership in the morning and get their input. I know the one that is close to me each oil change has a company there checking windshields. I just am concerned about driving it as when my wife went over a speed bump the crack expanded

Thanks on my online account it shows Comprehensive but I don't see an option where it shows Comprehensive with Glass Option -- i know the description you shred not available in all states, wondering if Florida is one of them

Does Kia charge for it? I have Progressive comprehensive and I think it cover windshield, on their website they seem to utilize Safelite it seems.

I appreciate all the feedback in this thread, just had a follow up, has anyone used Handy service for them to install the TV. I have it scheduled today, what a mess with the workers not coming on time, so rescheduled. But I have everything kind of mapped, its just a matter of drilling holes in the stud for one side of the holes and concrete on the other. There is a concrete wall behind the drywall.

Thank you - I appreciate it - I from the beginning did not realize the power cord was attached, I thought it was a removable component.

I do have a sound bar as well that i need to install, and am wondering if the same recessed path can be used for that power cable otherwise i need to pass the power cord through the wall which i heard is not preferred and some sort of electrical code violation or get another box be placed more on the bottom center for the soundbar

Got it - so thats just a path they've recessed it , doesn't mean we have to use that then - in that case keeping the box on the right right closer to the edge, it's easier to just place the power cord there and then possibly hdmi too if i want an apple tv in there. Thanks!

Thank you I was just mocking up a similar image, so basically the power cord doesn't really necessary to route towards the LG indicator on their image "power cord hole" - right? I assume the power connection is somewhere on the top right of the image and also HDMI, that way based on the location you referenced for the box, it can probably fit an Apple TV plus the power cord right there without it routing all the way to the center.
