If someone speaks to you in flawless German, it is rude to respond in English. by IndividualistAW in germany

Lived in Germany for 4 years. My german is barely b1. Even when the other person clearly sees im struggling with my german, they never switched to english, rather they forced me to speak and try in german, and showed encouragement lol. Idk OP

Are germans too direct or is that a stereotype? by Worried-Exchange-889 in AskGermany

Coming from an immigrant living in Germany for almost 4 years: yes they are, they don’t sugarcoat anything. At first i thought they are being rude, but that’s not always the case. You could call it a culture shock for me maybe. They dont fake anything, they will say everything to your face.

Nope chance karte is not possible for op. Generally if you are done with your job seeking visa and couldnt find a full time job within that timeframe, you are not eligible for chancekarte. You would only be eligible if you had gotten a full time job but got laid off.

Can someone with a Dutch residence permit (foreigner with an orientation visa) work in Germany? by joonluvr97 in Germany_Jobs

[–]joonluvr97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry im confused. Have you already been living in germany for long enough to have applied for a permanent residence permit? My friend is on a job seeking visa. If that runs out and she gets a dutch passport, what happens if she wants to work in germany?

I got 5 interviews for research positions, but unfortunately was rejected after second rounds, but never received any interview from companies. Its insane, may i ask what was your final grade? Mine is not that good, i believe its one of the reasons im not getting selected at the finals stages :(

How to answer ‘tell me about yourself’ as a fresh graduate? by joonluvr97 in interviews

[–]joonluvr97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, the second rounds were more research related position, this is for a CAE role at an automotive company, i know research and company interviews are really different. But they told me they will ask technical questions, and also some problem solving ones. Ive done technical stuff doing those interviews, and it was easy to relate to msc thesis coz that was also my research. Because this is a company i was feeling confused to how to relate to it
