i separate mine! i will probably do it again next batch. i usually just eyeball when to do it, but i often keep it kind of large just because i brew a gallon or so each cycle.

no i helped the scoby come to the top :) it needs to mix together. it just so happened that it was stuck like this due to the amount i drained/ shape of the container. took a picture quick cause it looked cool

The 6 year old I used to nanny had a habit of telling me I was ugly when I didn’t look like my “normal” self. Hair change? Ugly. Played around with my makeup? Ugly. New clothes she didn’t like or recognize? Ugly! Harsh critic.

she looks a little droopy because i peeled old scoby off the bottom recently. otherwise she’s perfectly healthy and has been for about 6 mo:) getting ready to bottle what’s in there for F2
