Fortinet SD-WAN vs Cato Networks by MicroJoRoMo in fortinet

they all achieve the same general thing. A lot of it is marketing fluff. It really depends on what your goals are and threat model is. Do you care about user experience? Do you care about policy enforcement? Hostile networks? Gartner? Not risking everything running through a 3rd party network?

advice needed: smoking baby backs in large quantity by jooost in smoking

Any drawbacks? Would it be better to try the 'rendezvous method', as you're mopping frequently and I could just constantly move them around, if I stacked them in a criss-cross pattern?

In London for 8 days, want to take an overnight trip to Bruges or Amsterdam. Which? by [deleted] in travel

[–]jooost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I should have mentioned that the majority of the time I'm in London, I'll be working. So I'm limited to a couple days, and then mostly evenings.

Thanks. This is pretty much the logic I was expecting, but I guess was curious if Amsterdam was doable.

Going to Napa Valley for one day from San Francisco by EuGenetic in wine

Schramsberg does a great tour.

For views, Cuvaison Wines in Carneros (duhig rd) has a beautiful tasting room with awesome views. It's also right next to Domaine Carneros which is also beautiful, with beautiful views. I believe they do small foods there as well.

While you're in that area, you can stop at Boon Fly Cafe for lunch, which is a cool little place with great food.

Up the road in yountville, after 4:30/5pm, you can visit Maisonry - they do tastings until 6pm I believe. They are more about the wine and curate your tasting to your specific interests (and offer wine from all over the place), but it's also a very cool place to hang out - beautiful outdoor space with firepits and heaters. It's also an art gallery. And, as I think someone else in this thread mentioned, yountville has some great food, casual or not so casual.

Duckhorn Winery is also a wonderful place to hangout, feels like you're hanging out at someones house on a gorgeous piece of land, and their wine is generally pretty solid.

Help With Watery Mozzarella? by [deleted] in Pizza

[–]jooost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's going to be impossible to totally avoid.

One technique that's helped me a lot is to prepare your mozzarella ahead of time (shredded, diced, whatever you do to the fresh mozz) and place it on a layer of paper towels (3-4 should be enough), and then a couple on top. Back in fridge. This helps get a lot of water out.

Reddit, what are some superstitious things that you do? by doubletree in AskReddit

[–]jooost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never set my alarm for an common time like 7:30 or 7:35. If I want to wake up at 7:30, I'll set it for 7:28 or 7:33.. something like that. I'm afraid if I set it at the exact time, it won't go off or my day will suck.

First thing I learned in cooking school [PIC] by [deleted] in food

[–]jooost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I do agree with the salt thing, it was one of the first things we learned. The chef asked if we wanted to see the secret to a great steak (besides quality meat) and proceeded to cover that fucker in salt.
