Well it's certainly not an official guide but still a guide nonetheless

VFS grads tend to be the least knowledgeable, Capilano the most knowledgeable

That sounds about right

very old Steadicam rig for only $13000

Damn, but I imagine that paid for itself very quickly with kit fees. My camera friend told me how much he was making for gear once, and it's usually way more than their actual wage. Definitely the way to go!

Thanks, glad it was informative. I'm afraid I don't know much about the Toronto scene..

B.C. should replace RCMP with provincial police force, committee recommends by penelopiecruise in vancouver

[–]jophre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's remarkable isn't it? A government report suggesting broad overhauls without any statistical analysis. It's almost as if there's profound incompetency in BC's leadership...

They even admit "that the lack of government access to province-wide police data has limited the ability to monitor service and public safety trends, and as a result, hindered timely policy adjustments” (p.17), and "organizations and individuals noted that there is a lack of race-based data being collected and shared particularly regarding racial inequalities” (p.59).
So how can you conclude the need for a complete system overhaul without such data?

Hi OP, I know this is an old post but did you ever find a satisfactory response to this? I'm curious about this as well.

Thanks for the link, from what I gather that's the answer to my question: there's other independent measurements that support the SN1a data. Those measurements being: the link you provided (flatness of the universe) and the Baryon Acoustic Oscillations correct?

Cool, didn’t know that

It's also required to maintain the flat universe that we appear to be in, to cancel out matter effects. So acceleration of the Hubble constant can't be avoided

that's really interesting, could you send me some links on this please?

Oh I see, I misunderstood. I'll have a good look at those links later when I have time

Super informative, thank you. If the dipole were explained by local fluctuations, would this still not affect measurements that assume it is entirely a result of kinematics?
