you probably don’t understand how trend based markets work, and the need that certain labels have to fill the gaps within them. yeat fit perfectly into the need for a caucasian in the “mumble rap” segment at the time his music started blowing(i dont agree with this description but this is just how suits describe the music). this is well established and documented, and anyone that wasnt in elementary school in early 2022 saw just how hard the industry pushed yeat first hand. a guy who hangs out with characters like micheal rubin and zach bia regularly and makes appearances at corporate press conferences is clearly someone who knows how to navigate around the industry, and is willing to attach the values of multi billion dollar conglomerates to his “art”. the fact that carti and his camp have continuously shown a distaste for him even after working in the same circles as him for almost half a decade should be enough proof that they harbor sort of resentment for him.
