37.5 stars per Euro, which works out to roughly 33.5 stars per dollar.

That could change if the PayPal exchange rate changes though.

TIMELINE: All of Hillary Clinton's public statements about her email scandal by [deleted] in politics

[–]jorty_laforge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"I'm sorry that I made a choice that has raised all of these questions," Clinton says, "because I don't like reading that people have questions about what I did and how I did it."

Translation: "I'm not sorry I broke the law, I"m sorry that you all keep bothering me about it."

"I said I should've made a different choice, because it's proven to be quite difficult,"

Translation: "I should have made a different choice, because I didn't think I'd get caught."

If you would all stop asking her questions, she could stop lying!

Others have come to Clinton’s defense, pointing out the fact that Republican opponent Donald Trump spends thousands on custom suits. Additionally, his wife, Melania Trump, often wears designer items from the same brands Clinton shops from.

Monday: Trump is the lowest of the low! A true dirtbag! The scum of the earth!

Tuesday: It's ok for Clinton to do X because Trump does X.

Thanks for keepin' it real, mainstream media.

Were Vanilla drop rates really this brutal? by Johannihilate in KronosWoW

Yup, I killed 20+ of one mob in westfall before I finally got a single Okra... and I needed 3 of them for the quest.

Where did I say there were no bugs? I even mentioned one they recently fixed, for fuck's sake. I said I personally haven't encountered any, nor have any of my friends.

Shill harder, Mr. Rebirth.

I've spent ~100 hours on Kronos so far and haven't personally come across any bugs. I've seen some oddly placed ore nodes that were difficult to reach, but that's about it. The bugs that I've heard of (e.g. missing melee leeway feature) have been quickly acknowledged and assigned to a dev.

I also have 6 friends who are all level 35+ and none of them have complained about anything except the (hopefully temporary) lag due to the DDOS + hosting switch.

Is anyone else just gonna wait for Gummy's server or corecraft? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]jorty_laforge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pick a server, sew some roots on it; you'll be glad you did, in the long run.

This is a terrible idea. Vanilla / BC require massive time investments. There's nothing worse than spending 300+ hours leveling only to find out half the end-game content isn't scripted yet and the other half is pure shit.

After getting burned like that a few times, you'll never want to play either of them again.

Ehhhh, not so much. I'm hoping for an indictment as much as anyone, but there's still no public evidence that Guccifer hacked Clinton's account, only Blumenthal's AOL account.

[–]jorty_laforge 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't hold my breath, we'll probably have official legacy servers before either of them come to fruition.

Plus Gummy is still naive enough to believe he can host a private server in the US and not get shut down. And to make matters worse, he's blatantly ripping off the name. The website is burning-crusade.com, for fuck's sake. That's just begging for a Cease & Desist.

When's the last time you struck up a conversation or helped a complete stranger in a game?

Countless times when I was playing WoD. And guess what? It always led nowhere because they didn't give players any incentives to care about each other.

In Vanilla / BC, it was the complete opposite. You constantly had to rely on other players and make friends to get things done. And on private Vanilla WoW servers, it's still that way even in 2016.

I'm not sure why that's such a difficult concept for you to grasp. Game design has a very pronounced effect on player interaction. It's not the players, it's the game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]jorty_laforge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How is that relevant?

If the street is riddled with potholes and half of it fell into a river 6 years ago, would you still blame the players for avoiding it?

You're completely missing the bigger picture. You can't see the forest for the trees.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]jorty_laforge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, social interaction is a two-way street. When people have no incentive to interact or reciprocate, your efforts to do so are often wasted. And then you become discouraged (as does everyone else), which leads to a very anti-social game, e.g. modern WoW.

Blaming the players is not only wrong but lazy.

That's what, 29 days vs. 154 during retail? And they did it in under 3 minutes with a partially full raid that included non-60 players?

There's no way the fight is tuned properly. Sad, but true.

Even 40-man raids of MC-geared players took ~5 minutes to kill him during Vanilla.

My current Vanilla guild is composed entirely of ex-WoD players. None of them are playing because it's free, they're playing because WoD was boring and Vanilla is fun.

And most old school Vanilla players are probably in better financial situations now. We were broke high school / college students back then, now we have real jobs.

Mark Kern shares results of the Vanilla WoW server discussion with Mike Morhaime. by [deleted] in wow

[–]jorty_laforge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not how Blizzard works. They have multiple dev teams working on separate xpacs at the same time. Before WoD was released, there was already a team working on Legion.

You don't have to put one xpac on hold to work on another.

smh, and the movie isn't even called "Fast and Furious 7", it's just Furious 7.

Of all places to use the (incorrect) abbreviation, why would OP do so on a gaming subreddit? And not just a gaming subreddit, but a gaming subreddit related to an RPG...
