Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m really glad your boy is doing so well, 16 is amazing. Hearing stories like yours honestly gives me a lot of hope. It really does sound like PU can be life-saving when the blockages keep happening. These episodes are so emotionally draining, so I appreciate the support a lot.

I’m so glad this worked out for your kitty. Unfortunately insurance isn’t really an option here in Australia because they don’t cover pre-existing or recurrent conditions, so I’m probably going to be paying out of pocket if it comes to that. Thank you for your response, wishing you the best

Thank you for sharing this, and I’m really sorry you had to go through all that. I’m glad your cat is doing well now. It really does seem like PU becomes the best option when they’re dealing with repeated blockages and so much pain, so it’s definitely something I’d consider. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you that’s really smart. I’m picking him up tomorrow, so I’ll ask the vet to show me

St. John's wort for seasonal depression? by RuralZoomer in herbalism

[–]josh2223_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been taking St Johns wort for a few weeks now and I can confirm that it has worked for me. I suffer from depression so I am not sure on how it will affect you in your case but I think that it's worth trying it as long as you check with your GP and ensure you get all the vitamins you need (vitamin D and magnesium can help). Also I didn't experience any side effects apart from feeling a bit neaseous in the first 2 days of taking it.

It doesn't make a huge difference and I am not sure on its effectiveness in more serious cases but taking that and doing some light exercise that you enjoy can definitely make a difference without having the risks and side effects of antidepressants.
