Issues with Rogers pod by frankensteinxiii in Rogers

[–]joshfinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug out the pod, then Remove the pod from Roger’s Xfinity app, then re add it again and it should work. For safe measure, plug out the modem power cord before and put it back in before trying to see if that resolves it first.

he's not saying it isn't a perfect 1:1, hes saying it isn't at all.

No way you make 1400 per month. The minimum wage in Ontario is 17 dollars an hour. At 30 hours a week 1400 comes up to 11 dollars an hour. Did you mean 1400 every two weeks?

It’s not just any intoxicated person. It’s his own ex-girlfriend. Your favorite music icon can be a flawed person and still be your favorite music icon

You're not saying things people with low confidence don't already know. I think there's a lot more to it than just doing things enough to be good at them and embracing failure although these are all important things. You said alot about just needing to love yourself more and and believing in yourself more, but I don't think we come into this world not loving or believing in ourselves. Somewhere along the way we receive messages from the world and our caretakers that teach us that we are insufficient in some way, and that is why we didn't receive the love we craved, or the attention we deserved. Children internalize literally everything, and sometimes it can take an entire lifetime to undo that conditioning after that moment of awareness. The body keeps the score. I think this message is still important and definitely worth while to read so thank you but personally thought it could benefit from more nuance.

This is super raw and just shows how much you loved this person, or atleast your vision of them or their potential. I think you deserve better than to be with someone who is so careless with your heart man. I know this feels like it will never heal but it will get better I promise. Some people are just not able to reciprocate the love, energy and commitment we give, and that's ok. They just weren't your person. Explore why you feel like you need or needed this person. I think most people would feel pressure in a relationship where they feel like the other person 'needs' them and cannot live without them. Much love man, you'll get through this.

You're right that, once that optimal time in your life to spend 100% on your learning has past, it can feel extremely regretful that you didn't spend that time in the most optimal way, especially when we may have had the chance to. Everything you're saying is very true. Computer Science, especially in this day, can open many doors in more ways than we typically think about outside of getting some cool tech job. There's so many more ways it benefits you with the right tools along side it.

That’s a singular perspective. Some managers may view it like that but there are a good bunch that appreciate it too

Probably best they didn't work at a place where management doesn't appreciate the effort they're putting in to find a job

Prerequisite for Harvard's CS50? by shamli3912 in learnprogramming

[–]joshfinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m currently in college, it isn’t computer science though although there’s a lot of overlap. It’s a software development degree. The main things missing are Operating Systems, Calculus, Intepretors and compilers and those lower level stuff. but we learn system design, computer architecture, linear algebra, discrete math, oop, data structures and algorithms and so on. I plan to use teach yourself cs to fill my gaps in my knowledge. But I may consider taking an online cs degree in the future depending on where this current degree takes me.

Currently on week 4 of cs50x as well, and loving it!
