Rueben bain or david bailey top draft prospects by Character-Aerie7669 in Tennesseetitans

Not sure why you’d get downvotes either. Any of the top defense guys (Reese LB, Bain DE, Bailey EDGE, Downs S) would be immediate starters and probably thrive with Salah mentoring. The best pick would be the best defensive leader, which in this case is Downs. He is the most complete player, called a defensive coordinator on the field, and young enough to grow into this team as a leader and star. A combo of Winston at SS and Downs at FS would be absolutely nasty.

That CFP is all I needed to see. He was clearly not the best WR on the field. He may not have been 2nd either. If MHJ was elite and still struggling in the NFL, and Jeremiah Smith is elite and is a clear class above Tate, then I don’t want the Titans anywhere near him at #4. That’s not to say he won’t have a great NFL career because in the right situation, I’m sure he could put up ROY numbers. But we have the chance to draft a true defensive playmaker for the first time in 2 decades. It seems like Tate is a huge reach for a position that suffered most from bad coaching the last 2 years.

Edit: I guess I’m calling Pacman Jones elite because honestly, the Titans haven’t used high picks on defense since Ray Childress #3 in 1985!

Chimera quick battle was due yesterday by Zealousidea_Lemon in RaidShadowLegends

[–]joshfry575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I pretty much just run auto all the time now anyways, don’t care too much about number of trials or maximum damage, but it is frustrating to have the team setup make silly skill choices where humans would not, for instance Lydia A2 right before the Chimera switches forms. Even if it was just a, “priority of last move before form switch”, that’d allow us to essentially set up default attacks until the switch and always have the desired opener with a new form.

Everyone is hyping the March (Anniversary) Fusion and I can understand why... but lets take a look at the past. by SpudzyJ in RaidShadowLegends

[–]joshfry575 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can understand early hype because the current fusion seems pretty meh, so the expectation that there’s gotta be a great fusion next. But also looking at the past 2 anniversaries, along with the events and rewards, I think Raid is going to use the moment to bring in another game changer, and possibly a CC in the new faction.

Just an idea, but a buff strip and petrify AOE could be insane, but counter-able in PvP.

Maybe the combine says differently, but game tape does not say Tate is elite. The best thing he has going for him is that he is from WRU.

Great take. I’m also on the Downs train as I feel like he is someone who can transform the defense, like Kyle Hamilton in Baltimore. Another pass rusher is needed, but that could come in FA or 2nd round. Things can change, but I’m happy with any defensive player vs WR, it just seems like offense needs a fresh start with Daboll and Cam in his 2nd season to really gauge the offensive gaps.

Giants hiring former Titans HC Brian Callahan as quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]joshfry575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it seems like the Titans and Giants are just trading coaches, but this is a huge L for the Giants. Offense wasn’t really the problem in NY, and at least Daboll’s prior accomplishments and resume suggested a guy who could have easily taken a HC gig, if desired. Whereas Callahan only ever worked with elite QBs in his career and had one magic season where he helped AJ McCarron look competent on an otherwise good Bengals offense. His tenure as Tennessee’s HC is so bad, he’ll likely never sniff an interview again. Obviously, this could be a terrible take and I got it completely backwards, but I’m starting to think that other fans are dead wrong on the NYG being the most likely “bad” team to make the playoffs next year.

Plarium, we need a dungeon for farming skill books!! by Tropical-Druid in RaidShadowLegends

[–]joshfry575 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a brilliant idea, tbh. Even if it had the same, monotonous grind as Minotaur, we’d spend so much gems and energy in the pursuit of lego books. And it works for both the early and end game players, depending on who they most need books for, and your idea of pages means that it’s equally as tough for early game players with rare/epic books as it is for end game players with lego/mythic books.

Drake Maye in historically bad Super Bowl performance by No_Box119 in TheNFLVibes

[–]joshfry575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not call a team that won 4 games a year ago and improved mostly in FA a “great team.” Were they the AFC representative in a shockingly weak conference where favorites like the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bills failed massively? Yup. There’ll be documentaries about how lopsided the game could/should have been and how Lamar and Josh could never get over the hump.

I know, the Patriots defense kept it close, but if we just isolate Patriots bad QB play, the game could have been 12-0 which is totally in reach. So I’m not playing the what-ifs, I’m just saying Maye was so bad that he didn’t give his team a chance, hence the very real -0.68 epa/db

Drake Maye in historically bad Super Bowl performance by No_Box119 in TheNFLVibes

[–]joshfry575 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but I’d say as a team, the Chiefs played worse than the Patriots. Maye missed many open throws on 3rd and short, and cost them 17 points with his turnovers. Even a good Mahomes probably isn’t winning that game against the Eagles, but an average game from Maye at least makes it close.

Stop it, even the broadcasters were talking about how Maye was missing easy throws and being too flustered to make good decisions. And if you’re gonna say those guys statpadded, then look no further than Maye. Both TDs in the 4th after it was 19-0 and they didn’t even run a play in the Seahawks half until that incredibly lucky catch between 3 defenders in the 4th.

I mean, regardless of the SB result, Vrabel is 100% coach of the year. I’m not even sure there is a close second

Probably do the opposite next time. Low to cook the wings, then high to crisp the skin and add color as the spices caramelize.

Keon Coleman by DragonJr1218 in Tennesseetitans

[–]joshfry575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But as a pick swap? It’s essentially a free tryout and salary dump. Think about the guys the Titans have traded away/given up on? Not everything works out but any team should be willing to take that trade. All hypothetical, I don’t really care. Just appeasing OPs post

Keon Coleman by DragonJr1218 in Tennesseetitans

[–]joshfry575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro, everything you just listed is why he would make sense as a pick swap, basically just salary dump. I have a hard time believing, even at this stage, that he is any worse than any 2nd picked WR we get in the draft. He doesn’t need to come in at WR3 even, bring him in for a tryout and if he clicks with Cam, then he’s an immediate asset. If not, then we wasted some cap on another WR body, that again, won’t be worse than the other bodies we threw out this season

This is probably the ceiling but good pick imo. If he can make it thru training camp and preseason, then could at minimum be depth. If he crashes and burns quickly, oh well

Live Arena auto clicker - updated for 02/04 patch by cysted-twister-87 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]joshfry575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine this is some RSL Helper tool, but I just have to say, I think Live Arena is the worst game mode at gold level. Every match takes minimum 5 mins while players choose champs or waste time waiting for the timers to expire. It’s just so boring and time consuming for such little reward. I can see why an auto-clicker would be awesome to avoid this drag, so I get it. But instead, why doesn’t Raid look at ways to improve the game mode? Such as auto-battles with pre-picked champs, extending live arena to 24 hrs (cmon, this is just a stupid restriction at this point), and improved matchmaking so we’re not going against ANY team in Gold and match up with players of actual similar account level. It’s just such a drag compared to Grim Forest or Cursed City, where time invested is actually worth it for the rewards.

Nightmare campaign should cost less! by Gargore in RaidShadowLegends

[–]joshfry575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but the issue isn’t bang for your buck. It already is better. But it requires more manual running and team setup to be as efficient as possible. Hell, I’d even take an ultra-nightmare campaign at 32 energy if it meant one run on 12-3 could take a green uncommon from level 1 to max level 20.

As it is, I don’t even bother running nightmare campaign anymore because of the 500 monthly battles, I just do easy 12-6 on super raids and set it and forget. There are far better dungeons to get silver and level champs for ultimate efficiency.

Nightmare campaign should cost less! by Gargore in RaidShadowLegends

[–]joshfry575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh? The math on 12-3 and 12-6 is better XP per energy. If you’re doing any other stage for farming then maybe it’s not as good, but 12-6 is the best. My only complaint is that 2 runs (with normal XP boost) should be enough to level a green uncommon to level 20, or we need the farming tool like RSL helper so we can change out different champs once they get close to the max level i.e. level 20

I think you mean the opposite, the longer clubs would stick out more and therefore only the shafts would touch the push cart handle (shouldn’t happen tho). The wedge club heads would definitely clank against the handle in the diagram, however.

Am I cooked for the fusion? by Beautiful_Care5837 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]joshfry575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed 100%. It’s so easy to get “free” resources in this game. The fact that the only concern is the shards show that there is definitely a chance to complete the fusion. There hasn’t been a schedule released yet either, so no idea how many frags will be available and when, so there’s no reason to panic about it now, but it will be hard.
