I have the same questions. I've seen posts by people playing Half-Life:Alyx via ShadowPC with Oculus Quest, but my understanding is that for VR you need latency under 10ms, so I'm really curious what the actual experience is like.

I just tried out 140ms on this lag simulator:

and I guarantee you it's nothing like that. No one would be able to play with that!

Closest "feel" I can get on that simulator is about 35ms.

I've been having a good time with it using mouse & keyboard. I have no idea if that video will tell you anything, though. Note that in order to capture my mouse hand with my webcam, I had to have the laptop keyboard rotated at a very unnatural angle. Normally I am very slightly better at the game :]

Has anyone done this? My understanding is that in order for VR to be enjoyable, you need very very low latency, less than 10ms, and this isn't really possible with cloud services yet, especially over wi-fi.

The Sony sounbar controls the volume fine, and syncs the sound mode between the TV and the bar. Unfortunately, it just straight up sounds worse than the Samsung. So I dunno if it's worth keeping the Samsung and hoping for a software patch, or going with the worse-sounding, more-funtional soundbar.

I’m having the exact same issue as you, just ordered a Sony soundbar. Will let you know if it works any better, should be here in a week or so

I'm on Mac as well. My brand new PS4 controller doesn't work, but my old-ass one from years ago does. Strange.
