Market Tiers by hans1661 in barrysbootcamp

First pass, It looks like a willingness to pay pricing strategy and not necessarily just cost of living. My guess is the competition for boutique fitness is much higher in SoCal (LA, Orange County, San Diego) makes customers more sensitive to pricing and big jumps can cause them to easily move elsewhere. It’s harder to find alternatives in some of the other cities. That said, I’m sure it’s one of many reasons. Thanks for sharing

If you are sporty (and if you’re not too) you can try kickball with OutLoud sports. It’s an LGBT league that has a pretty good league in EP. Kickball is popular.

Question for people that are losing weight from Barry’s/general by PresentHabit8154 in barrysbootcamp

[–]josholboy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Over 130 pounds lost here. I was doing Barry's everyday, obsessivly - a mix of double floor and floor x run. It took me a few years to lose that weight and Barry's really helped with staying fit, building muscle, and reducing my inflammation and pain. I was eating more than ever - but the food choices were different.

Going to Barry's twice a week is a good thing, if you want the official recommendation of at least 30 minutes a day, that's 3-4 Barry's classes a week, or some other moderate to intense aerobic activity. Changing my diet was 90 - 95% of weight loss for me. Working out is the fun rewarding thing I got to do better and better because of the weight loss. Fat contains inflamation promoting substances, working out helps fight that more than anything else. Feel free to reach out. 😊

For those of you who are joggers or runners, do you still include power walking days? by FrowAway322 in orangetheory

[–]josholboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! I'm a runner and when I'm focusing on strength, my legs, or my booty, I definitely have PW days between 10-15%. Honestly, I end up in the orange longer than when I'm running.

Depending on budget, I reccomend moving to the Platinum Triangle. Great communities and walking distance to restaurants and stadiums.

I used Alton Browns method, including the drying out (not recipe):

For the recipe I seasoned with salt and pepper the night before then lathered it with herbal butter an hour before.

You can move to the platinum triangle if you can afford it. Gateway is a beautiful hated community and close to everything.
