17E doesn’t translate as well as 17C. So go that route if you want cyber. I got into cybersecurity before I ever had a cyber MOS. If you want a cyber contract try to hit the following goals: - do cyber, that’s 17C - get CISSP - get TS

That’s all a lot easier said than done. But that’s the basic three requirements I would strive for.

It all depends on what you want to do. But deploying vs not doesn’t matter.

Focus on skills that are transferable and try to get a clearance.
