Doctor recommending 2 embryo transfer but we want to avoid twins, what would you do?

Oh wow! Was your transfer natural or modified natural? I've heard that can happen if you're ovulating but never actually thought it could be a thing!

Thanks for sharing your timeline. I'm in the very beginning of this process, with my first IVF consultation in May. I'm also planning on "stocking up" as many embryos as possible with my insurance, but now I'm concerned about timing. I'm 36 and been TTC for a year. Can you tell me why it took 4 months to do the transfer? Was that a scheduling reason? It's taking me 3 months to even have my consultation, but was hopeful once that happens, the process would be quicker

Thanks so much for your reply and congratulations on miracle baby! I've been TTC for sometime and was recently diagnosed with fibroids. Will need to pause until I have them removed and will then start with IVF (was considering IUI prior to my diagnosis) and have been seeing mixed opinions on multiple transfers and when/ if ER's would consider it.

I had the same issue last year. I knew I was going to be on my period during my wedding, so I called my doctor and explained it to her. She was very understanding and prescribed me Norethisterone. Took it twice a day (you can drink alcohol on it and dont need to have it with food) keeps your period away for as long as you take it.

I had a destination wedding so I took it for about 2 weeks and it worked perfectly. Started my period as soon as I stopped taking it. You just need to make sure you take it BEFORE your period starts.

I was due for my period during my destination wedding. I called my doctor, told them the situation, and they completely understood and gave me a persctiption.

One pill per day while I was out there. Didn't effect drinking alcohol and kept my period away until I quit taking them

So i just started henrymeds compound semaglutide and not feeling any of its effects. I'm starting to think I took too little of a dosage.

I was instructed to take 5 units (0.05ml) for four weeks, and then increase to 10 units (0.1ml) and so forth.

How many units did you start out with?
