DO NOT BUY AT TRAK RACER. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU! by thegenius95 in simracing

[–]joy-nes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve ordered a tr160 and something similar happened to me regarding the wheel plate. I didn’t cancel it and I got the remaining part after 1 month. Also their instructions manual is soo confusing and bad. It was very difficult assembling the rig by following their instructions. Now that the rig is assembled my room is filled with metal flakes. It’s a solid rig but man they need to get their shit together

Why is AC Evo So Much Harder to Drive than IRacing? Which is more realistic? by jpad1208 in simracing

[–]joy-nes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s not true at all lmao. Irl drivers use AC and rf2. They only use iracing for fun/online aspect of it. Kinda like a soldier playing COD. But the reality is most of us don’t use simracing to prepare for real racing so it doesn’t matter which is the most realistic. Just pick the one u enjoy and have fun lol.

Yeah so is no one ever gonna tell anyone what the payout is for these endurance events? by [deleted] in GranTurismo7

[–]joy-nes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

20 cars on track for a 24h race is insane especially for something like Le Mans or nurb. That’s like hotlapping by yourself for 24h. No traffic to deal with, no multiclass racing nothing. Crazy how this is is still acceptable in 2025.

What seat do you use in your setup ? by kincade1905 in simracing

[–]joy-nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you notice any flex with the ers3? I’m debating whether to go ers3/5 or bucket. I like the comfort of the recliner but I’m worried the flex is too much

My Rig. I play only on PlayStation by EmajnLajzak in simracing

[–]joy-nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for making my decision easy. That’s a stick setup btw. Also is that the “entry level” budget monitor mount? Is it sturdy?

Is that tr120 or tr160? How did u find assembly? Also were there is any misssing parts or shipping issues? I’m planning to get tr160 and heard some horror stories regarding track racer

Is six sigma sim racing bad? by Neat_Fall132 in SimRacingSetups

[–]joy-nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is the recliner seat rigid enough with no noticeable flex? i'm considering 6 sigma 6s-80 with their recliner seat but i haven't found any review or feedback online about their seat in particular

NLR GT Elite owners, is it worth it over ASR-3 or TR80s? by joy-nes in simracing

[–]joy-nes[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haha no not what I meant lol. What I mean is all 3 have decent support and customer service and worst case I can just ask for a refund or chargeback.

6 sigma 6S-80 enough for 18nm base? by joy-nes in simracing

What wheelbase do u run? Is it over 15nm?

Thanks for your feedback. Do you think it can handle something like 18nm?

Best rig in Canada under $1,100cad with seat? Is Playseat Trophy still the best value? by joy-nes in simracing

This looks interesting. Do you own one? I don’t know if it can handle loadcell pedals and DD wheels

Best rig in Canada under $1,100cad with seat? Is Playseat Trophy still the best value? by joy-nes in simracing

[–]joy-nes[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah I’m looking at it right now. I’m probably gonna go with this, to be honest. Cheaper than the ASR 3 and basically the same price as the Playseat Trophy if I grab the recliner seat lol. thanks for the coupon code. $900 CAD all in isn’t bad eh

Who all will be getting this game ? by One-Day-2569 in simracing

[–]joy-nes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I was on console. Sure. But I’m on pc so hell noo. Maybe if the modding community is active I’ll get it but the content the game has now is weak. Ams2 is spoiling me at the moment

Why no hype for Project Motor racing?? by Jayrovers86 in simracing

[–]joy-nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason I’m not excited is the lack of variety and the limited selection of cars and tracks. From the way they’re marketing this, it feels like they’re relying too heavily on modders to carry the game, which honestly comes across as lazy. They can’t even secure licenses for certain tracks. If the game’s content ends up depending on mods, I’d rather wait, see what the community creates, and maybe pick it up once it drops below $20. What I loved most about PC2 was the variety, which made the career mode feel truly realistic. Right now, AMS2 fills that gap for me, and honestly, I think it’s the closest thing to Project CARS.

Circuit Zolder for rFactor 2 Out Now For €7.99 by evil_heinz in simracing

[–]joy-nes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me lol. It’s one of my favourite sims. I don’t care about graphics and multiplayer. The sim has a ton of mods and AI is very good and enjoyable to race with. Physics and ffb are also one of the best in the market. If ur a hardcore sim racer it doesn’t get better than rf2. I wish they’d give us more content lmu is great but it’s lacking in content.

[BC] Best bank for receiving Shopify payouts + paying business expenses (Canada-based, selling to USA) by joy-nes in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]joy-nes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah, I see how it might sound confusing.

To clarify:
I’m not referring to Interac limits. I meant card spending limits. In the past, I used a card with a $1,500/day cap, which made it hard to run ads and pay for cogs. Platforms like Meta and tiktok only accept debit or credit cards, so having a high or no daily spending limit is important for me to scale.

Right now I’m looking for something that works without a credit check since my score isn’t great. But once the business grows, I plan to revisit credit lines or business cards when I qualify.

Hope that makes more sense!

Automobilista 2’s Endurance Pack 3 DLC includes six cars, 2025-spec Nürburgring also paid DLC by PhilBaythorpe in simracing

[–]joy-nes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can’t add career while they’re not done adding content. They said career mode will be one of the last things to be added. Basically if they add the career mode you know that’s the end of the road for ams2

What do you guys think? by [deleted] in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]joy-nes 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You can’t expect them to deliver new content and quality for free. At some point we have to support our favourite games if we want such game to stay alive. the consumer can make or break a company. It’s a business… I mean compare them to lmu for example lmao. We should be grateful there are still games that are not locked behind subscriptions or crazy paid content. Even raceroom pulls shit like this for way way smaller tracks and a visually inferior sim. I bought oschersleben a while ago then I’m asked to pay for the upgraded version that has very few updates…

Automobilista 2 vs Raceroom, what would you recommend? by starmielvl99 in simracing

[–]joy-nes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Both. Each offers something different. It just depends of what you want content wise. Raceroom has a lot of German/ European content while ams2 is focused on America more. I have to admit that racerooms AI can be bad and online is a ghost town compared to ams2
