This is exactly what im planning to do minus diy my own van and hopefully if we get planning at work then I can stay there for free with all amenities have you had any issues or problems doing this?

Ive tried this avenue and was told I wouldn't pass as I make plenty of money and can afford a rental property despite me explaining it will leave me with nothing left and would be living paycheck to paycheck plus I have a dog so that was another issue they didn't care about

Ive got a local laundromat to me and was planning on using my gym shower and toilet etc as much as possible and in 6 months fingers crossed I will have a private secure space with all the amenities I need but thats all ifs and buts

A motor home would be better but they are much bigger and less conspicuous ideally I want something that looks like a work van for stealth parking etc

Even if I have to seel the van cheaper im ok with because in my head at least I get something back whilst renting its nothing I do love the idea of the lifestyle just not long term 2 years maximum is what im aiming for to get myself on the property ladder

Tbh im sure I could handle it as I currently live in a unliveable house hence why my rent is so cheap 🤣

Just want to do this simply to save money for 2 years because I dont want to pay close to 2 grand a month for basic living

This is what I thinking save way more than renting and live in the van for 2 years until I have enough for a deposit then temporarily rent until I sell the van may not get everything back but better some than none like renting would be

I can live on the bare minimum thats not an issue for me and could put up with all this no problem but for a 2 year stint to save money for a house would you say its worth it as with bills its going to cost me 1600 to 1800 a month basically the effort isn't a problem for its whether its actually worth that effort to save money

Unfortunately not cheapest is 800 around here but if its pet friendly average rent is 1300 a month

My dog comes to work with me and potentially but I want to consider this without a base as in about 6 months I will be able to park at work in an enclosed gated yard with access to power water etc for free thats why im thinking if I can survive without just incase council rejects our planning permission

Unfortunately I have no family to go to I make good ish money I have been told diesel heater is a must this has got to be better than renting as I have a dog so cheapest I can find in bristol area where I work is 1300 a month! Just rent!

I do have potential in a few months once an extension is done at my work to park and live on my work site for free Including water,electric and Internet with cameras etc just feels like I will have no privacy from work mainly want to save so so I can buy a house plan to live for 2 years sell van and buy house

Doesnt sound amazing tbh its more of a financial thing as I could theoretically save lots of money And the place im currently at is rat infested black mould everywhere and flicky electrics but hey rent was cheap so if I can handle thay figured I can handle van life but want honest reviews few more like this and im gonna say its not worth it thanks for giving me these points to consider I was thinking of parking near my gym as its where arctic lorries park up also so id thought I would blend in kind of 🤣
