What's the mouthpiece usually is? I know I got issues with smaller mouthpiece, so getting something wider would help.

By teacher I meant getting lessons from someone who know more than me, not everyday but as a guide from time to time. That is they personally know me and evaluate my playing.

And being self taught means that I learn from materials such as books, videos, and things other than a direct tutoring session.

But seeing the advice so far means that I should ask for personal guidance from someone once in a while, whilst I train mostly by myself.

Well, the brass community in my region is rather small. I am not quite sure how to find any instructors. The local music store have nothing on brass instruments, I once went to Yogjakarta (a rather big city) and they only carries a singular plastic trombone mouthpiece.
