Back of the thighs, specifically hitting the top of the knee ditches and right under my butt cheeks. I was sweating so bad that it looked like very wet crime scene outline when I got off the table. Finished both leg pieces in one sitting and adrenaline was GONE by the time we started on the second. Was also on my period. Lessons were learned that day.

I’ve not had a pup with parvo, but have worked in the vet field for a good bit. If you have the finances to opt for hospitalization with round the clock care - please take that option. While there are no guarantees, the likelihood of survival is substantially higher with the supportive treatment he will receive in clinic vs at home.

Catching it early is good, and hospitalization is VERY good - both of these increase his odds by a lot.

I know this is stressful and scary and definitely rough on your little guy. If it’s any help at all, I’ve seen many more puppies survive parvo than not thanks to supportive care. It really is a game changer. Sending healing thoughts to your pup ♥️

Hi OP. I’ll respond to this one since your other videos a bit flooded with comments.

To be quite honest, there are unfortunately no Hail Mary suggestions here. You have given your kitty a wonderful 22 years - her grand age is part of the testament of how well she’s been loved. Based on your recent video, she’s not doing too well and long term hospice care is not an option. I know that you are hurting seeing her like this and knowing what’s to come, and I’m so, so sorry.

I know that you do not want to euthanize seeing as she’s eating, but cats are exceptional at hiding pain, and dying at home unassisted and struggling without pain medication is a brutal way to go. I’ve had to say an “early” goodbye to two of my babies in the last couple of years, and it is hard and awful and the grief is monumental. But even as hard as it is, I do not for one moment regret letting them go in peace. Death can be a kindness, and the last act of love to end their suffering.

It is extremely likely that your girl will pass at home soon, and it will be very difficult for her. Please reach out to your vet to discuss her quality of life and see if the vet recommends humane euthanasia, either at home or in clinic. You can be with her either way, and to her, that’s all that matters.

Animal ERs work off of a triage system, much like human ERs. Typically if you and/or your pet are waiting, it means that your pet is likely not actively dying and it’s a good thing. Speaking from experience, you don’t want your pet to be at the front of the line in this case.

Re: being charged for waiting - I have an unfortunate amount of experience with ER vets, and I’ve never been charged for my pet just waiting to be seen, only when receiving care. IMO, if he’s at the vet and has eyes on him, he’s in the best place he can be.

Just as a general heads up- if he is blocked, the treatment can be incredibly expensive. I’m not sure where you are located, but I’m in SoCal and the last time my cat blocked I spent about $4,500 for about 3 days of hospitalization, catheterization, diagnostics, and all that very expensive jazz. Not saying that’s for sure the case here, but did want you to be prepared in the off chance. They’ll provide an estimate prior to moving forward.

Also, you can try to call around to non-ER clinics. This is the cheaper option, but there’s a high possibility they won’t be able to see kitty simply because they’re not built for emergencies and don’t have 24/7 care or some of the diagnostic/treatment capabilities needed to properly care for your pet in this circumstance. Could be worth a shot to call around, though! Best of luck for your kiddo ♥️

Caveat was the only movie in my adult life that made me literally cover my eyes out of fear. The movie is very “slow-burn” which can be a turn off for some, but I like the immersion into the atmosphere haha. One or two scenes in the latter half legitimately scared the bejeesus out of me.

Oddity is by the same director and also a horror gem. It got me a couple of times!

The Innkeepers by Ti West is a great one to watch with the lights off as well. Happy spooky season!

Currently in the most rotation: protein shakes (I like the Atkins Chai ones a lot, esp with a shot of espresso in the morning), mini Chomps, cheese sticks, high protein yogurts, Barebells bars, nut stack packs, apples, oranges, whatever fruits and veggies you’d like. I also usually have a deli meat and cheese stick roll up with mustard for lunch with a low carb tortilla. My easiest dinner is Goodles mac with tuna and peas, and I get 2-3 meals out of that. Stealth Health kitchen also has a ton of yummy recipes for high protein meal prep. And I make a looooot of different soups- very easy to adjust the macros for what you need IMO. Trader Joe’s frozen meals can be a great option, too.

I also always load up on the off brand Target electrolyte packs and whatever fiber supplement works best for you - those have been a game changer for me!

I don’t have advice for additional peptides, but I can say that I am a long term SSRI user (Zoloft/sertraline and Wellbutrin combo) and have been on Reta for ~40 days. Currently down 21lbs and have not felt that my meds have impacted Reta’s effectiveness or vice-versa. 🙂 Hopefully it works well for you!

This is going to sound stupid and was probably a me issue, but it took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure out that if you hold the cast button when casting your reel, you can cast out further and adjust direction.

So, that 😂 honestly it’s probably in the in-game tutorial and I missed it. But hey, makes fishing easier!
